So many outstanding people of achievement to choose from (present or recent past.) Bernie, Sir Frank, Newey, Max (for Steve ). Who ? My pick would be Ross Brawn. Started as a machinist, worked his way to mechanic, became an engineer and aerodynamicist, co-designed the Jaguar XJR-14, race strategist, then technical director. Finally team owner (and a great business man to boot).
I hate Bernie but he did start as a used car salesman so you have to respect him.....rory Byrne and Adrian newey also because they are more important than then driver.
Admiring Bernie would be like saying your admire Napoleon for being a conqueror. Can't quite do it. But the word respect for having awesome ability to influence people, for sure. I greatly admire Brawn and Newey.
LOL Maxxx yeh right..slapped right at the bottom of the list of achievements.. Yes at present agreed, I give kudos to Ron Dennis as well, like him or loathe him he done good IMO.
Ken Tyrell.......One of a few that soldier on by themselves. Innovation & commitment that few will ever have.
How about Christian Horner? Not much talk about him, but he has held together a team that has won multiple Championships in a row, and may very well win again this year.
1. Enzo Ferrari 2. Colin Chapman 3. Bernie Eccelstone 4. Ron Dennis 5. Gordon Murray 6. Mauro Forgiheri 7. Adrian Newey 8. Ross Brawn 9. Jean Todt 10. Frank Williams in my exact order.
Adrian Newey for sure. Others - Murray Walker for his enthusiasm, Frank Williams for his sheer determination to come back after the debilitating crash and take the team to additional WDC/WCCs.
Definitely not. He can't control his drivers. Neither in Turkey when they crashed nor in Sepang this year. And he is one of those who boldly claimed RB has no team rules. Yeah right.
Newey Brawn Horner Todt Whiting (only because he is retired - when active solid #1 - legacy lives forever) Frank Williams Flavio Briatore <kidding>
If those no longer with us are eligible Sid Watkins. No one gave more to and took less from the sport.
