I have a folding key like a F50 but I have been lead to believe it should be a different key.

Does anyone have a photo of their key?

    Thanks

that is definitely the F40/348 key (and likely some other models), but doubtful it is the 355 key

Many 95's came with the square key with light on it like Johnk posted. Later years came with the one like Luke posted (same one I have).

I have the square keys like JohnK's. One has a light in it, although the light fell out. Does anyone know where to get a light for one of these?

That's what I thought, but it seems some cars came with that square one. While mine it seems was a replacement no matter what.

    Thanks guys

Me four - I have both the sqare key pictured and the smaller one with the silver Cavallino.

FWIW the keys for my 88TR are like the one the OP posted (folding).

Pete, my car was built the same month as yours Pete Sept '94 for the 95 model year. I was told that the key with the light is rare, but do not know if this true. The little light fell out of mine. Does yours work?

No, mine has the same problem! I was hoping somebody would reply to your question on how to fix it so I could fix mine as well :). Oh well, may have to make a trip to radio shack and dig through their LED's to see if I can find a match. I'll have to figure out how to take it apart and put a new battery in while I'm at it.

Just curious, what number is your car? Mine is 100329, maybe ours were on the line together.

My car is a June 95 build. As for the key with light, the key splits and the top half on the button side come off to replace the battery. The light is not an LED but a small incandescent bulb.

Pete, I will have to check the number when I get a chance. Thanks John for showing where the key splits in two. Does it come apart easily? Any trick to it? My '97 911 key has a small light on it also. It looks to be about the same size, but have never taken it apart.

You can pry it open with a small screw driver at the top left corner on the picture. Getting if back together is a bit of a pain. Place the battery under button (+ (flat) side up) and side the button into the key making sure the little tab at the top (to orientate the horse) straight up. That's easy. Next you have to put the cover on. This is more difficult because the cover piece has a little tube that extends through the bottom (for the key ring or chain) and you have to align that first. But this prohibits the "locking" tabs from snapping into place. Again, I use a little screw driver to pry the cover away from the bottom half so the cover can be snapped into place. If you are careful it won't leave any marks.

I opened mine to replace the batteries bit found that the batteries were good. I had to clean where the bulb and battery make contact to the copper pieces and bend the contact at the back side of the bulb forward a bit. Now the lights work like a charm.
