i really enjoy the F1 driver interviews. Expecially compared to some of the lame actors, etc. they have had lately

BTW, noticed how recent laps are all so much faster than old ones?

Huayra, Hamilton, Webber, Bac Mono, ...

That's because the track has been recently re tarmacked, also making it wider.

I think that happened just after Vettel's lap and the old stig Ben Collins left.

Also I am pretty confident the new stig is Toyota's Anthony Davidson, given his favourite car is allegedly the LFA and they completely changed opinion on the car's since he joined.

He's also already been the stig in one of Clarkson's DVD. :)

So it's possible Vettel is still fastest of them all? Ha! I knew it. He'll be back.

With the connections between Top gear and xix entertainment, I doubt it.

Lewis will be up there for a while.

Seb's still the better driver though.

I'm surprised they kept the Huayra up there with all of the commotion behind the tires they used. It used hand-grooved slicks IIRC developed on the Zonda R which were not a factory option on the car.

Meh, anything "Top Gear" should be taken with a grain of salt, and that includes lap times

Maybe, but it's the nearest we got to same car same track comparisons with the best of the best.

I'll say it again, the drivers IMO take it dead seriously.

All that went out the window when the track was redone. They may as well have started from scratch

He held back a little, but still got his points across in a diplomatic way ('my dad always told me not to fight little boys').

Good guy...too bad he's the one leaving F1 next season.

Having seen Anthony Davidson at the Autosport show one year, I'll pretty much guarantee that he's not the Stig!

Anthony Davidson's @ 5' 4" tall and the Stig is definitely taller than that!

(Even when he's sat in a car, you can still tell the Stig's taller than 5' 4" - He can see over the dashboard for a start!)

He would make a good commentator when he's done, if that interested him. I have read the occasional column he wrote and those were good too. As mentioned his ability to answer a tough question without evading it and do so with some diplomacy/humor would go well in a TV booth.

Marks a good bloke, and for sure is not treated as an equal at red bull. its a German thing. (yes I know about Austria)

Seb is good, but he never brings an average car forward, like Lewis, Fernando and Senna could.

SV would not have done anything in last years Ferrari, or this years Merc..

I'd say there's one Stig for the road cars and then several different Stigs used for the more exotic cars and race cars, depending on who is best suited for the job.

Looking at that picture of the Stig with Mark Webber, that is most definitely not Anthony Daividson though! (If it were Davidson, you'd only see the top of his head! :D ).

Trust Me, today's UK health and safety Laws wouldn't allow him to stand on a box that tall, even with a helmet on! :p
