Does this fall into the "tweaker" category from that poll thread?? ;-) Looks...interesting. Might grow on me. For some reason it just seems big for that car.
It doesn't look too bad. Makes the rear look even wider though, and I would add a couple other modern touches around the rest of the car, to tie it in.
It LIKE IT! Why not have some fun with it. It would have just gone to the crusher otherwise. But instead it got saved. The 348 is the cult classic, hot rod, of the Ferrari world.
I think this car needs 355 lower door panels, then it would be hot... Aaaaand a very slight upwards rounding of the rear deck-lid rear lip/spoiler when viewed from behind to better match the 430 rear.

It looks good. I hope they properly connected the rear under trey to the rear diffuser. If not, the rear bumper will become a sail.
I'd go for one that didn't have to modify the exhaust. I had a diffuser made by "Norm's FIberglass" for my Solstice and it really improved the look of the car. I wonder if Norm could do one for us?? Pontiac Solstice at Norm's Fiberglass
Boy, Norm does some nice work! The Fiero front clip and the 430 front bumper for the Solstice are nicely done. Of course to do a diffuser on the 348 would require either cutting the current bumper, or replacing the whole thing. The cost of the diffuser/bumper/light grille shown at the beginning of the thread is a tad over $3000, not including shipping from Europe. Also you gotta re-do the exhaust tips... Shame they couldn't do something about the gap between the new bumper and the diffuser.
I think a car designed in the 80s should never be modified to look like a modern car. 80s styling was very unique and doesn't really mesh well with modern updates. I personally love 80s cars and find beauty in the classic styling.
I'm with Brendan here. I like 1980's styling - it's charming. Perhaps I would go for a few modern technical updates that cannot be seen aesthetically (e.g. modern shock absorbers or something) but I'd leave the aesthetics looking OEM. Still, it's an interesting project of theirs and I love that a wrecked 348 was given a new lease of life. All the best, Andrew.
