Does anybody know this car? (ph.©: IT) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It looks very much like a car I restored back in the mid 1980's while running MIE. The owner insisted it be painted British Racing Green. It was and appears to still be a lovely Vignale. FGM
Hello Walter, Here is the Vin# for the green car, not sure how public the owner chooses to be but I can put him in touch with you via e-mail so you can get the answers to any specific qustions you may have. Very nice driving car, I have done a few cosmetic items on the car that the owner wanted done but overall nice car. AM 101 1121 Regards, Zac
Morning Frank, As far as I know the car is not for sale I just have it at the shop to handle a couple cosmetic issues and correct a clutch problem it was having. Bill LeMasters and I arranged to borrow this car to help answer some wiring and mechanical questions I was having while helping Bill get his Vignale Spyder done after all these years. I am happy to say that 101.1317 is now back in one piece too and on it's way to Monterey. I have always been a Ferrari guy but have been lucky enough to work on several of these beautiful cars lately and they are really growing me Zac
Hi Walter, Do you know this one? Just saw it surfing the net. www.classicdriver.com/en/car/maserati/3500/1961/186891 Cheers! Alejandro
Yes, I know that one! From a distance a very nice looking car. It was offered to me by a very respectedGerman dealer and I had a buyer for it until we found out that the car is has much too much filler under the paint. Not a great resto...
While I can understand that it may be asking too much to expect a used car dealer to be able to spell such difficult words as "complete", "also" and especially the tongue twister "certificate", I'm at a loss to see why an experienced salesman wouldn't have learned by now to at least run his ad copy through a spell-checker prior to publishing... :-/ Beautiful car, shame about the filler. It probably costs less to do it right than do it wrong and have to do it all over again. Maybe not at that end of the (price) scale?
This was not the dealer who offered me the car! For that price tag they put on it I expect a 100% perfect car! This Vignale needs a complete bare metal strip and a new paint.
