looks like this car is the same one that is now being flipped at RM in monterey? it had been marketed for a while in italy so i guess someone is hoping for the barn find premium to find its way at monterey... it seems quite original, but will require alot of work and RM's description suggests it is not the correct engine.

I'm not sure its being "flipped", I think they are simply trying to sell the car.

I haven't seen this particular B&W image of the 1965 Turin Salon Miura Prototype rolling chassis before and not sure who the photographer is...

The Coltrin archives has a dozen or so images of it at the event.

Wow, I was just watching a rerun of "Chasing Classics" from 2006.

Christie's sold a '72 Miura SV for $420,000.00. That seems like a bargain given what they are selling for now! :)

It was bought this June in Italy, right? Or are you saying the car did not sell and the current seller is the long time owner or representing them? If that's the case it's not being flipped but it was my impression this car was bought by a new owner 2 months ago

I'm with you on this one if the car was being resold, but word reaches me that's not the case.

Ok, I had been in touch with someone representing the car and when i asked for more info i was then told it was sold. Could be they decided to just send it to auction but seems like an aggressive move for a car being represented by a local Italian which is why I assumed it traded to a flipper looking to sell at Monterey but maybe not

Thanks to the excellent pictures of the great Joe Sackey (#11875), and from the italian plate is possible to know the chassis number: 4862, and the only two "Italian" owners : Giuseppe Turello and Rolf-Welli Engelhardt from Hamburg, this latter with temporary residence in Bologna.

Miura P400 @ Pebble Beach. Complete with Sophie, and post-production identification application. And not the only Miura with post-production identification application, so apparently in good company.

Some great unique details on this car- frame details, Knockoffs, interior detail, and lack of body stampings.

You haven't any idea about of many hours were necessary to find the original photos, to study every details, to reproduce what is missing: hundreds and hundreds. Even the colour is unique. This is a great achievement!

It would be good if you can share these, and clarify the history of this car in detail, because rumors abound regarding its provenance and current disposition.

For example: it is said that a stamp of number "1" has recently been placed upon its chassis in the current period. Is this correct?

Joey, i'm not the owner. He 'll answer to your questions when he'll come home.
I just took part to the researches here in Turin, but i can't post the photos for copyright reasons because the Italian rules are different.
