Interesting.... Chasing Classic Cars just aired the episode when Wayne auctioned his 1959 Jolly at an R&M auction a year or two ago. Sold for $62,500 back then.

Do you know where a listing of the sales is posted (if it actually is listed)? I am negotiating on a 72 Daytona right now and would really like to see how they sold this weekend as there were a few goods ones going off between the different auctions.........

IMHO I felt, with some exceptions (275 NART, 14 Louvre TDF, i.e.- exceptional cars) that prices seemed to trend to just above low reserve. This market is due for a softening and I believe it is happening. There were far more "no-sales" than a strong market, on the rise, should BEAR (pun intended). Post-Enzo cars did poorly. If buyers today are investors, as many have said, they are buying on the wrong end of the market. As Mr. Glickenhaus has said- "Those who refuse to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it."

Insert obligatory comment about how much people spend to get their jollies.

Is there a Porsche 904 being auctioned tonight at Gooding, or anywhere else?

Does the $1.6 mil. include BP? A friend had asked me today to look out for the Porsche 904 tonight. So it went yesterday. Thank you.

To paraphrase Dale (TexasForever), that's the difference between curves and slants. Curves sell for a gazillion dollars, slants don't sell.

Yes, huge difference. The car has now sold after the auction. They didn't give the selling price.
