I agree. Many cars from renderings didn't do it for me until able to see in person. I suspect some of those exterior styling changes will be mirrored for the 458 replacement.
I think it will look better in person.... Edit: Actually looking at it more, I like it. Its growing on me by the second... the performance is insane!
Wow! The 458 is so incredible I can't imagine it being any better. It was by far, the quickest car I ever drove. The idea of it being better has me running out to buy lotto tickets.
Properly aggressive and striking. I think it hits a ton of great notes. I love the rib running over the duct on the front end. I speculate this duct and its function removes the need for the flexible vanes on the intakes of the 'standard' 458's. And when its considered that this is near the end of development for 458 and that another even better car is still on the horizon, I remain a very excited fan of the Prancing Horse.
Not blowing my dress up but I am sure it will be amazing to drive. Any news on the price? I think you will have to be a very keen track day nut to swap the few seconds and more visceral experience at the occasional event for the relative daily comfort (interior) of the standard car.
Nice, it has the same center console as the LaF. Lateral g's at 1.3. Wow. -F Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ya know. The "standard" 458 is such a home run, other than lightening it, there's really not much room for improvement. I applaude squeezing more output out of the power plant. The design is somewhat of a tweak, which has been the tradition particularly with the 430scud. I think I like it but certainly must see it in person. The wings in front of the rear wheels look gimmicky unless they have a bona fide function.
I'm not the target audience -- I like the creature comforts in my 458 Italia too much -- but I like most of the styling changes. Of course, I'll want to see one in person before making a final judgment. The weight reduction is quite impressive. On the other hand, the fact that there is no right side control pod may mean that it has no infotainment system (at least it will be less confusing for new owners). There should be an award for anyone who finds a good place to put a front license plate.
That front bumper is terribly overdone. The rest is jot bad but then the rest is almost 100% 458 Italia.. First stradale that I dont love. What is that concave curving on the passenger side of the dashboard???
I like it. I am sure it will look better in person, and i am sure it will grow on all of us. I hope it has addressed the shortcomings of the Scud; The interior, carbon clouding, and well, having a hard time faulting the current scud really. I am sure it will be fantastic and do quite well in reviews, on the track, and in many garages. It will surely be the best toy on the block.... ...until the 16M version comes out, then that until the 458 successor is released. Always something to want / talk about and to Ferrari; I thank you for that.
I think it looks great and I bet it would be a hoot to drive! Can't wait to learn more about it. I don't see myself getting one (I love my 458 Spider) but I'd love to drive it sometime.
Loving this! Especially the flicked up rear-end and venting around the front lights! Its going to look mean in real life guys, just wait and see!
