Cool car, too bad the active aero devices are gone from the front, it would have been way cooler to see the ideas enhanced ...and why does the glove box need a bum crack??
Well I don't see it on any of Ferrari's other street cars. 599 GTO No F12 No FF No Cali 30 No LaFerrari aka F70 No 458 Italia No 458 Spider No 458S Yes Hmmmmmm Does SF have a learning disability?
The Scuderia had the same lap time like the Enzo. This means also that the Scud was a "blink of an eye" faster then the 458 Italia... See also the Fifth Gear vid (nice to see, although the speaker has reversed the numbers at the end (1,24.9 vs 1,29.4)). Scud prices suffered originally because so many owners flipped at the same time to get into a 458 (early flippers made money on the Scud). 2010 the market was saturated with Scuds, this drives prices only one way. It was similar with the CS when the 430 was launched. Scud prices have now remained stable for 2-3 years and have firmed slightly - used price differential between Scud and standard 430 is now I believe greater than the new differential, so to answer your question, it really depends on when you stepped on and off the depreciation curve - if you bought when the market was saturated and still have the car you have probably had 2-3 years of NO depreciation.
Interesting..As a P.Gt3 owner I am used to write on Italian and American Forums about Porsche. As a future 458 S owner I try to contribute in this Forum too.Well if you look at Porsche Forums (expecially on 991Gt3 ones, where enthusiasts are normally more track oriented) they seem to love our 458 S much much more than here.Personally I think that is normal that many here, already owning a fantastic 458, find the new design at least strange.. But is this car a 458 substitude or successor? Not! Because in this case..I would agree. Not a big jump forward from the point of view of the design. But can we all remember the scope and intentions of this car? can we say that Ferrari at least tried to focus with all the Passion that in Porsche Forums they seem still appreciate ..(probably because the trend in Porsche is negative by this point of view)? The scope was clear and difficult at the same time.To improve track capabilities of the already magic 458.Do you think it was easy? No it wasn't .And so what many of you call "amenities"...are probably just necessary steps to achieve better performances. And in this case the design became secondary. And then what about the concept of design? I choose this car because I like it apart probably the winglets in front of rear wheels. But after a moment and remembering why they were putted there and the scopes of this car...I simply accept them and smile...With a deep satisfaction. And finally let me remember that noone has still driven this car..And even that Ferrari doesn't want to sell thousands and thousands of them since it will be probably a limited priduction. So do they need to satisfy all us with the design or just the ones interested to the real target that this car has in mind?Amen
The styling of the 360CS and 430 Scud is SO much better than this. What the hell happened?!! To me, this looks like some cheesy aftermarket company fabricated and slapped on a bunch of bolt on parts. Instead of the subtle sophistication of a race car for the street, it looks like a hooker with overdone makeup and big hair. It's so terrible!! This is the perfect example of how not to customize a Ferrari. *sigh * Oh well.... Whatever! lol
i think as we can assume from this picture, the red parts in the difuser are removable. This thing is gonna be from another planet. Ferrari 458 Monte Carlo - Foto spia 21-08-2013 - Foto 5 di 5
Very well said. BUT I don't think partial mesh grill has anything to do with function. The Cavallino is put very down below as if it is almost falling. One whole piece mash grill at the back, having the Cavallino on it at the same place as normal 458 would correct rear design, IMO. Also for the front bumper, small Cavallino has no function there with awkward small side panels. I'm happy with the general design of the Speciale. It will be awesome to drive but the design doesn't urge me to sell my 458 italia (MY13) and get Speciale. In 430 vs Scuderia case, Scuderia was better than 430 in all design and purpose subjects. In 458 vs Speciale case, in some areas 458 has better design points both @ the interior and exterior.
It is probably a matter of time ... in a few weeks will seem perfect because everyone will used to the new design. Unfortunately they put that sunset light that causes reflections sepia that taste old
IMHO CS>>Scuderia>Speciale Both the front and rear look worse than stock. And what's up with the little winglet in front of the rear wheel. Finally - where is the Italian Tricolore? Why is the stripe white and blue? Is it being built in Argentina? ;-)
Criticism is very often a positive thing..I am sure that Ferrari is monitoring here and is preparing some special teasers that will be available soon. Then some of us will be lucky enought to see the car personally in less than 10 days. Some feedbacks will arrive soon.I am curious as all you..about these first reports..Btw already you Isot, in this Forum, has helped a lot just changing colours and removing the stripes. Can you imagine what Ferrari can prepare for us in the next days if she wants?
The car appears more attractive in the short preview video posted by Ferrari than the official photos, for example
I agree with you so much here. I remember being at the Paris show, seeing the P1, in person. Then, reading the negative responses here. The P1 looks like the bomb in the flesh, and i will reserve judgement until i have seen the S in person. Complex 3d shapes are hard to judge on photos.
Springtime around March or so for first delivery. There's rumor of carbon roof which I'm extremely interested in as long it not over 10-12k.BTW its standard equipment on BMW M3
Thanks - IMO it will be the best driving experience ever for a Ferrari V-8 Hope you decide to get one too Take care
I find the front and back much better than the stock. The front look more aggresive and for the rear, it looks more like a race car.
