    Took out the F430 last night and had about 1/2 tank showing on the gauge. Drove it around 20 miles downtown. When I left, the gas tank was already blinking with one bar. So I took it to a gas station and tried putting fuel in. It only allowed me to put like $20 or so in the tank before the pump started to click.

    Continued to drive it home and still the gauge was blinking with one bar. It was late and didn't want to get stuck so I stopped at another gas station and it barely let me put a few bucks in there before clicking again, even saw some overflow.

    I got back in the car and same thing, blinking 1 bar ... close to home, I just took a chance and made it.

    Does this sound like a fuel gauge issue?

    Maybe faulty fuel level sender...

    Agree, Fuel level sender sounds like culprit. You can always take the left drivers side engine trim panel off and tap on the tank to confirm full.. then remove and put back on the connector at the pump to verify connection. If still low/in-error the pump needs to come out and the fuel level sender replaced.

    Thanks for the info. This is helpful. Is there a diagram that shows the engine trim panel? I'll try the manual.
