I was hoping for Scotalian and Rosberg P2. Couldn't the rain have held for one more lap, it scotched chances for a decent shuffle...

Depends on the weather, I guess, which is the big unknown factor. Right at the minute, forecasts are "some showers"; Spa being Spa, maybe we'll have an entirely dry race between two showers, or anything else you can imagine...

Trying to get tickets for the section around the hairpin, but we'll see how that goes.

First we need a definitive calendar for 2014.

Thanks for the links, though not as clear for me as your screenshots SPEEDCORE. 1st time in many years I bothered with F1.

Enjoyable at the end, now if only the cars didn't look like anteaters, maybe the new regs will cure that.

Actually stayed in bed & watched Sky on the IPad. Didn't bother firing up the 'puter and joining the party this morning. Sorry, had 'company'.... ;)

Anyway, hell of a session. Good to see things at least a little shook up.

Should be a good race regardless of weather.

    Cheers,
    Ian

I'm a little out of touch given my VPN, but I used to use the famous 'Speedy links' (thanks again;)) on Macs. Worked a treat and there's nothing to install (apart from Flash which is why you can't use 'em on the iPad of course.)

IIRC, when you first click the link all kinds of BS comes up and it's very tempting to start clicking stuff - Don't, just wait a while and tiny little 'x's will appear in the pop ups. Close 'em using that and eventually the feed should start.

    Cheers,
    Ian

    :)

NBC seems to think so!

They're making a big deal that they're carrying every English premier league game this season!.... That few give a damn doesn't seem to concern them. Muppets.

As a soccer fan I like it, but not at the expense of F1 of course.

    Cheers,
    Ian

When it's BBC weekend (only 10 races a year) I use a VPN and just watch it straight from the BBC website. That's why the quality is better

Quality VPNs cost money but you can get free alternatives with varying results.

Alternatively you can use proxies servers or the TORS network.

Is TORS fast enough? I had very mixed results that way - Sometimes great, others it just drops, at least for me.

I concur though - If you're serious about the whole mess belly up and pay the ferryman - Mine costs $55/year and is fast and 100% reliable. I've been watching not just F1 but the Ashes (with a Sky login).

Which we won't mention here as the Aussies get upset! :p ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    The minor leagues! ;)

All the big boys are in England..... [Although, the Champs League results suggest the Bundesliga is currently the best!]

And then we have the Messiah & crew in Spain.

Serie A is for old men in the twilight of their careers. :)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Just realized...4 straight poles for Hamilton now. Needs to convert those into wins, but it's safe to say he's getting comfortable with the Mercedes.

(Just now actually watching qualifying on the History Channel, I mean NBC Sports)

I thought you were rooting against Merc after the illegal test? So which is it?

IMO, you secretly want Merc to do well so it looks like once LH came on to replace MS they were suddenly fast. Lol, it's so obvious.

Back on topic. MS is gone. Never coming back.

LH has his pole and Vettel now has to prove he can fight back. The weather will be interesting and FA says he can win it. This could be great!

I'm just glad Vettel did not get pole (sorry Seb) but I would have been ok with Webber taking pole. Nico took it down to the wire, had me worried for a moment, but hopefully he can get the jump on Webber (knowing Webbers history of poor starts). For a moment I thought Alonso could possibly take the pole but I have confidence in his race pace and prowess. I was not surprised when I heard that Massa has this race and Monza to prove he deserves another season with Ferrari but I am not sure even if consecutive podiums can save his job. Hobbs thinks 'The Hulk' is prime for the picking to replace Massa and I would mostly agree.

What is the weather forecast for tomorrow, same as today?

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I want RB not to win anymore.

Didn't think of that actually. Although there is something to be said about that.

I do enjoy however how Hamilton is beating Nico.

    Flip, flop.

You must not know how F1 works. Merc has been fast from the green flag drop of the first race. Hamilton came on WAY too late to have any input on the development of the W04. MS/Nico's work the last 3 years what Merc should thank in addition to their aero/technical acquisitions.

And those 7 titles and 91 wins are never going away no matter how much you want to talk about his comeback :D
