I think the 918 looks just about perfect except for the front end. The rest of the car is so dramatic and the front looks like one of those Consulsier cars from the 80s. I think the headlight treatment from the new Cayman looks far better.
What the heck is going on with that carbon add on to the back of the 918? Looks like they are trying to correct a serious design flaw. And unlike the laferrari and P1 (more so the P1 ), the 918 to me looks good in only glossy black with glossy black rims. The back is OK but for the most part it's another average looking bad ass.
I have not. Almost every car looks better in person though. It's a situation where when I look at photos of it; what jumps out to me is what I don't like about it; instead of what appeals to me. And I'm not a typical Mclaren basher, Ferrari can do no wrong, like some on here. (I've done business with McLaren) Kevin
In the Carbon I liked the production version of 918 at Pebble. Personally I think P1 needs that dark purple/black color to look good yellow and orange look too plastically to me. I still think La Ferrari looks a bit cut and paste designed by committee. I wouldn't want to own any of them once the warrantee expires.
well, what can I say? The front looks like it could have been designed twenty years ago. It shows very little character, although it is recognizable as a Porsche (although that shouldn't be too hard). The back however, is all over the place. It looks like a Transformer in the middle of transforming. Panels seemingly breaking away from the actual car. I am sure it has it's aerodynamic purposes, it just looks weird and overly complicated to me. A bit like the Lambo Veneto.
Porsche was saying about 60K to replace the batteries. Can you imagine what the other's will charge...
If you freeze this video you can see the DRS working. Well over 300KPH on the straight. P1 is VERY Fast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RFp0x82RhAs
Yes, I hope. Do you think LaFerrari will be ready to appear this year also? If not, next year? Do you think they will show LaFerrari in the Frankfurt show next month? If no, why not? You are a Greenpeace follower?
Haha no! That was a joke after yesterday's Belgian Grand Prix. Mclaren is having a horrible year in F1
If the smaller brothers are anything to go by, 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 video, review, price and spec the 918 might pip the Pipped1 Chassis matters: 4ws>2ws, 4wd>2wd And the Fezza or even the new Gtr Nismo could still blow the lot.
