It does fit, although I learned a few things as I am going from a US spoiler to Euro as I don't like the long overhang from the US spoiler. There are a couple of tabs on the US cars specifically for the US spoiler. I think that you need to add those tabs in order for it to mount properly.

tell me about this overhang....my car is already on the lower suspension settings, and i am always scraping off the front spoiler...so will a usa version be that much worse?

I live in Italy and I know a person, like me, that own a F40 with the USA spoiler in the front, so you can fit it on your car and it looks fine in my opinion.

Ross, do you want to fit it for aesthetic or for some other reason? I personally like much much more the EURO version, really can't get used to the US one...

well there is one for sale on this site, and i kind of like the look of it. however, believe it or not, i have never seen a usa car/spoiler in person, so maybe it doesnt look as good as i imagine.

The problem is that the US cars have to meet USA DOT requirements. As such, the rear bumper is totally different (the entire frame is different in the rear to accommodate mounting a bumper that has a big metal piece in it in addition to the black bumper surround) and the front has both the black bumper surround on the nose and the chin spoiler. The chin spoiler is the real 5mph bumper. It extends a good 4 inches or so beyond the nose of the car, is mounted with rivets on the bottom and two metal tabs on the lower front of the clamshell. Because it extends so far, it creates some real problems for me as the car is already so low. The Euro spoiler is smaller, shorter and neater and, in my experience, helps make the car a bit more maneuverable.

Well, the plus side is that the US spoiler is pretty repairable from the inevitable scrapes and scratches.
