It's an amazing event. I will be there. Last year I had the honor of having my Testarossa invited to appear in the show as part of the Ferrari event. She looked splendid next to all these otherworldly Ferraris. For a car guy, it was a priviledge I will never forget.

This year they also have some stupendeous seminars on Saturday...from their facebook page:

The Saturday Motorsport Park will feature 4 seminars on vehicles celebrating their 50th anniversaries. David Donahue will review the history of the Porsche 911, and there will be a number of vintage Porsche 911 models on display, beginning with a 1963 901 to a 2013 911. This seminar is presented by Porsche Cars North America. There will be a history of the Corvette Sting Ray presented by Jim Jordan of County Corvette in West Chester, PA. McLaren Philadelphia will present the 50 years of McLaren and Rick Mullin of Mullin Coachworks will perform a live demonstration of making a body panel for an Aston Martin using an English Wheel. These seminars begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 7th. There is no charge for admission, and all are welcome.

These are a must attend for any car fanatic!!!

The Radnor Hunt is a must attend if you are in the mid atlantic area. Last year was a Ferrari overload with some very special iron on the field. What is so cool about this event is the significant variety.

I love the French coach built stuff and there's always something of interest. With Aston Martin and rally cars classes, that will bring out some great stuff.

Hope to see some of you there.

    regards

I'll be there. It will be my forth year as a volunteer. The Elan too, in the front parking lot. I'll try to miss the mud bog this year. :)

Concours rallycar is a contradiction in terms. Nothing has been posted on the rally forums announcing this and honestly there are few historic rallycars in the US. Many more non-competition cars of rally significance.

May try to bring the GrA Martini Delta Integrale. Bummer it seems scheduled same weekend as Italian GP.

    Never seen a Lancia....Never seen a Lancia...

I just died a little inside. Am I really getting that old?

My first car was a LANCIA!!! and my buddy and I probably had a few others sitting around for parts.

Just about as much fun as you can have in a front wheel drive car and they just ooze italian charm. I've spent a few years now trying to find another pristine 1979 model and never have :(

Now back to our regular programming!

Radnor is a definite MUST DO. The cars are always exceptional. I believe it's about $35 entry, so don't show up with a $20 bill and expect to get in, but considering the event, $35 is well worth it.
No you've got me drooling about possibly seeing one of my dream cars: Lancia Stratos!!!

The LM was the car on loan at Simeone from Chinetti. It has since been sold.

Radnor is having special events for Group B rally cars and 50 Years of Porsche (David Donohue is presenting a seminar on Porsche race cars), and they invited the 959. Unfortunately, there is a Christmas tree of warning lights glowing brightly after I let the car sit undriven for four months (I know, I know) at the AACA Museum, so driving it to Radnor is not an option. Mike Tillson, one of the Radnor organizers, came up with transport over the weekend, so that problem is solved. Figuring out the warning lights is a whole 'nother issue.

Love to see your 959. What an amazing vehicle. It set the standard for what few have been able to approach. Good luck with the warning lights, must be difficult finding someone with 959 mechanical experience.

    cheerz
