Cynthia You clearly stated: "as is my beat up pile of old Gullwing parts too." and posted this photo. Is the photo of old Gullwing parts that you posted a photo of old Gullwing parts that were ever owned by you as your post clearly stated they were? "My" Image Unavailable, Please Login
Its your opinion, nothing more, so lurke back under your rock. I did not say I owned the car you speak of. The photo has been on my hard drive for years. I ask the moderator to remove you as a Troll as you accused me of stealing from my boyfriend. Your post is just precisely what El Wayne warned against. If you have something else to say to me, PM me.
Cynthia You very clearly stated that you did. Once again "My". http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142541406-post926.html
Not worth the argument with you or Mark Passarelli over a "mere collection of parts". You still don’t get the point and neither does he. It isn’t about who owns the Gullwing. It has been on the market for more than a year now with no takers so far. These two are 375 MM's, of course, not 375 Pluses. There are also two other 375 MM's on the market right now, one is merely a collection of parts. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
True, but isn't it what he did in fact? How much of the original 0384AM was in JS car in the 90s? What original parts were used by Nueva Lunelli: the brakes and a few bits? They made new chassis, new aluminum body, new interior etc.? Even the engine was fabricated from scratch. Can we consider that Swaters car is really 0384AM?
The IP address doesn’t matter❗ Mark Passarelli, (AKA: "PASS" & "Ulenhaut" are the same.) could have been sitting at a Starbuck’s in Timbucktoo when he posted.
Actually, it does matter. Users cannot be removed from the board because: 1. You disagree with them 2. You say so 3. You think you know who they are 4. They post information that makes you look bad 5. You think they are a troll For a moderator to remove, or ban, a user, there has to be a valid reason. None of the reasons above are valid. Mike
Doubt hes ever been in a bunker, hed be lost. Maybe from a bunk on a submarine, if submarines had internet, but I think Timbucktoo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cynthia Channelling Bill won't help you. It doesn't depend on what your definition of "is" is. You clearly said "my" and included a photo of what you clearly called "my". What you posted was not true. What you claimed was owned by you ("my") wasn't. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142541417-post930.html Let's now look at your posting: "that an arrest warrant for both Kristie Kleve Lawson and Joseph l. Ford III, ordering confinement and sentence Defendants to no less than 60 days incarceration 2 under R.C. 2705.05, and (2) order the Sheriff to seize all Ferrari Parts from them and for the sheriff to take possession." Do you have personal knowledge of activity that actually leads one to be incarcerated? Do you think it's likely that this will occur in this case? I realize that some activity does cause people to go to jail but seriously doubt based on personal knowledge that it will in this case as opposed to other cases where it did.
True. The odds of this Bitsa selling for 30mm USD at Auction are slim to none. As I said if it does Bonhams will next be auctioning off the Brooklyn Bridge.
Wily, you need to go back and actually READ the entire thread. They did not make a new chassis, the engine is the original engine (may have been rebuilt), Jacques obtained it by telling the original engine owner that he had 0384 and the owner sold him the engine to reunite the engine and car. The owner of the engine had previously promised to sell it only to Kleve, to reunite the car and engine, but was later convinced to sell it to Swaters when he was told Jacques had the rest of the car. The bodywork is indeed a recreation, but they had the original parts to help the properly replicate the bodywork. The rest of the remaining parts are mostly from 0384, and Jacques retained the original body pieces so if you really wanted to rebuild many of the pieces that were replicated (less the ones Kleve still had), it could readily be done. If Jacques had wanted a replica he would have just given the pieces back to Kleve and kept the replica and there would have been no problem. Jacques wanted 0384, and he didn't want a replica, and he kept as much as was practical of 0384 when restoring it. In short, this car is not a "replica", it is 0384 restored with new bodywork, but it is 0384 underneath that bodywork. As Jim has said many time in other discussions, the frame IS the car. That's what the authorities use to determine provenience, and since this car has the frame, engine, and the damaged remnants of the original body it's about as complete as it could be given the state of deterioration it was received in. Please, let's not confuse the issue with statements that are not correct.
Is it really a surprise that Mr Swaters with an all consuming passion for all things Ferrari would go to any lengths to restore his classic 375 with made new parts. Didn't he keep a wrecked 250SWB in the basement of his garage? The 375 was only a small part of his Ferrari life which he was able to rescue from abject disuse. A complete new body is not unheard of on a restored Ferrari. CH
Ditto. This is as good as 0384 gets until/unless the Kleve parts are re-united with the car and even with those parts it will never be a "No Stories" car. It's a cool car with an interesting story and full disclosure. What's not to like?
This is most certainly a "Stories" car. Might be the most "stories" car around. Some of which I think have yet to unfold.
Yeah but there are good stories and bad stories, these are mainly bad. While it may have lain dormant it was never severely damaged or entirely written off and the main parts are all together rather than in seperate cars. What worries me is that some of the less scrupulous/ more aggrieved parties might start a whispering campaign as to its lineage and provenance as we have already seen with some posters in this thread (with low post counts) claiming evidence it is a fake/ entirely rebuilt etc. Will be interesting to see this unfold. And Jim/ Napolis is bang on with two things 1 - "that an arrest warrant for both Kristie Kleve Lawson and Joseph l. 2 - It cant sell for $30 million dollars in this market with 375MM worth $8 - 12 million it would at most (with the stories and work needed) max at $15 - 20, although if the increases continue over the 6 - 12 months it will take to get to market maybe the price wont be so unlikely. There again the market might tank and the car become worth half as much as now.
