Did you see this video already too? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLqD_lwP2Co&list=LLINwg6WqfBnT_EYPU8z6NRg&feature=mh_lolz[/ame]
In all fairness, I have no way of knowing what you know already. It's new to me.
It's ok. Always share whatever you can. It's the Internet so I feel it my obligation to be armchair sarcastic. It wasn't the info that I was criticizing it was the delivery. I did see the other video, I loved it. I have a deposit on one already and am damn excited about this car.

Probably won't be allowed to take pics - as usual
some pics from yesterday's launch... sent by a friend who was there
looking for my magnifying glass now. Which reminds me: If my brain were magnified 10 million times it would roll around a gnat's a$$ like a BB in a boxcar.
Am seeing the car today. Will let you know my feelings!!! Probably won't be allowed to take pics - as usual
That is AWESOME!
Are there cf diffuser and cf mirror options ? Maybe with a cf diffuser the rear may work buy still they could have done better. I am trying hard to like this car , with the scud rear it was shockingly good at first sight. This car is taking so much effort to like over already great 458.
Tried to clean it up a little for Notiguy, I think I made it more distorted though lol, but thanks for the pics! One of my business associates was there as well, love the little model speciale they handed out, nice touch! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Car looks great! I don't get why Ferrari PR don't want to hire photographer to shot their new cars in natural environment. CGI (Computer-generated imagery) dont show us all curves/shades properly. I dont like some details, so I`ve made few changes on front, take a look if you want: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/458-italia/420467-%5Brender%5D-ferrari-458-speciale-redesign.html
And that is most flattering angle of the car... I'm sure it's a marvel to drive like every new technologically loaded sportscar but to be frank, the scud+mp4 is enough car to handle for me for now & I still look pretty good in reflections. Track hounds looking to squeeze out every ounce of performance will probably have a greater appreciation for the car; for me, I'm too vain and don't track enough to lust for the 458S. This is probably worth a revisit 1-3yrs down the road, if there aren't any other offerings by the likes of Lambo etc. they need to f'up big time to not come up with something nicer in the form of the Gallardo successor. jmho.
Looking at the pic in #664, I'm struck by how much more conventional the car looks with a twin exhaust.
The photo emphasizes the discordance of the two major elements; the top sculpted half which sits forward of the lower flat half which is dotted with separated black add-ons. Your eye tells you that something is not right.
I love it! Maybe the looks will turn enough enthusiasts away that I can get mine sooner! I agree that not every angle is as sweet at the regular 458, but to be honest, the 458 has some features that aren't perfect either. It does seem more cohesive and fluid than the speciale, but they both look fantastic. The weird ass on the F12 doesn't do much for me either.
Don't count on it. This is the same rhetoric I heard when the Scuderia first appeard. I had a Stradle at the time and couldn't wait for the Scuderia, then it came out, and everyone said the same thing, not good enough, not enough performance to offset cost, and appearance, etc. there must have been dozens of posts, I'm sticking with my stradale, I'm sticking with my 430, bla, bla , bla. Then the Scuderia hits the market and there is a line around the block and people paying 100K over sticker. I break it down as such, most and I mean most people will complain about the 458S but given opportunity would snatch one up in 2 seconds flat. Then there are the hatters that don't own or can't own a ferrari and will just make comments to be heard. Then there is the minority, people that have means to own but because they really don't like it won't buy one. I believe the minority here doesn't even chime in. I have been on the sidelines reading every post from the day this thread started. I'm very lucky to be in line for the first or second allocation for the 458S at my dealer. I just received my 2nd new 458 and can't wait to trade it in on the 458S. For the most part I'm tired of the negative crap on the 458S. I have been to the factory a few times, been working on Ferraris since I was 16, and bought my first one at 30, and I'm on my 6th one. I have to say if the 458S is what they say it will be it there will be hardly anyone *****!ng after the first delivery. If any negative BS is out there after delivery it will be overshadowed by its performance, dependability, and it's incredible advancements. I get to see the 458S in Frankfurt on the 18th. With any luck US deliveries will be late first quarter or second quarter 2014. Me I can't wait, I drive my cars hard and love what Ferrari has done to the 458. I don't mean to be negative but it's like I traveled back in time and re reading the Scuderia debut and all the negative comments and how every other post was I hate it, now those same people are saying they love the Scuderia and passing on the 458S. I mean really! Give it a few months and the will be flocking to it.
Any news on pricing and when these will hit the North American market? Im debating cancelling my 458 order and getting this instead.
