Great song... thanks for the reminder! Excellent! I don't think I've ever heard it before... We're having rehearsal Thursday, and I'll play it for the guys... Thanks, Dave. Mike
Great song list Mike! I've not had time to read all the posted suggestions yet, but with you audience demographic you should roll in the James Bond 007 theme as an instrumental.
We added Simple Man this week... however; we're going to lean more towards the 'Gov't Mule' version; it fits our instrumentation and style better. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kId1yVomwTw]Gov't Mule - Simple Man - YouTube[/ame] Mike
Very surprised nobody has mentioned Steve Miller. Tons of great songs!!! Survivor has some cool middle of the road rock as well. Greg
Good point, but I don't believe I have EVER heard a cover band do a Steve Miller song, now that I think of it.
He has a unique voice, and I'm not sure we could pull off a lot of the intricacies of the music live... lots of studio rework in his stuff. Mike
Jet Airliner actually works pretty good live by a bunch of old guys! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEZQmjjXL6Q
