Just was wondering how many LEOs (Law Enforcement Officers) on here own a Ferrari/s.... Kinda did a general search but couldn't really find any threads... Would be interesting to know :)

I am currently a "non-commissioned" (not currently with a dept) LEO and can barely afford adding to my Ferrari model collection much less a real one, I have champagne taste on a Kool-Aid budget. I do look forward to hopefully meeting an active LEO some day driving their Ferrari.

    Good topic.

There are several on here, but you'd have to have read their posts for a while to figure it out (if they don't happen to see this thread and respond).

I would say we mostly read and don't post much, unless I'm the only one. I'm with Riverside Sheriffs Department and own an 04 360 Modena.

I agree with Yin - there are several on here you just have to read between the lines OR catch them when they say something about it.

I got an 88 Mondial that I do allot of the work on myself. I have the luxury of being a campus Police Officer where we have a modern automotive department and free classes. Me and the car have been going through various classes together where I have been able to do repairs, rebuild the suspension and brake system, replace steering rack, run tests, remove and rebuild components. Will be doing a full alignment and rebuild of starter and alternator this semester. At home I'm in the midst of interior renovation including custom carpets and leather restoration and redye. That's how I'm able to afford this on my salary.

The stereotype is that u gotta be a gazillionare to own one.... So as a LEO, most in the community would assume you cannot afford one. Meanwhile, some Mercedes, BMW's, etc.. are actually more expensive than a used Ferrari lol... So my curiosity is more towards how the guys/gals in their respective depts react to you owning one :)

*Thanks for all your responses guys...

Not an LEO but one of the local fire chiefs here in the bay has TWO of them. A 430 and a 458. It really isn't surprising here in Cali.
