If I add VAT to the amount on my order, I get 232,000 EUR without extras... I am speccing the car this Friday, so I will let you guys know, but I doubt I will get away with less than 250,000 EUR incl extras

There is no denying that the 458 Italia looks a lot better. The styling is much more fluid and composed.
I have to admit that I'm very disappointed in this area. The Stradale and Scuderia were both improvements to their original designs. This one however is clear step backwards. How they managed to mess up the styling this bad, considering how beautiful the starting point was, is a mystery.

The performance figures are very impressive though.

I like the stripes. I would prefer the sexy red paint on the 360, 430, and 458. CF is sporty, but the engine needs to be testarossa!

You guys keep ragging on this car... It's a hot setup, they only thing that
Looks bad is the stripe.. It looks out of line on the hood because it continues past the air exits.
If it stopped there it looks way better.. I glad I got my depo in!!

I'm happy for you. Please do report back on how it drives!

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I'm not ragging...it's just every time I look at it (in person and now from new Internet pics), I find something new I just hate about it.

Just found a new peeve here courtesy of GTSpirit:
    http://www.gtspirit.com/wp-content/gallery/ferrari-458-speciale-at-frankfurt/ferrari-458-speciale-21.jpg

It looks like Ferrari was trying to build pyramids in the rear with one rounded-corner block after another rounded corner block after another...look at how many they are!!!! finally stacking up to the peak that houses the prancing horse emblem.

    I count 6! It's a clusterf*ck!

No, you're being too harsh. diff ppl diff strokes...

But the OCD in me couldn't take it anymore, I had to photoshop that Specialé rear and in my humble opinion this is how Ferrari should've done it!!!!!

See Post #566. I think that critical feedback is constructive or should be to Ferrari (assuming anyone reads it). If we just faint over every design they come up with, eventually they may think that they can sell anything. Ferrari takes risks with its designs and they don't always work great (when they do, they are masterpieces), so critical feedback should be part of the process.

Mechanically the car seems to be a hot number. People will buy it, track it and enjoy it, as well they should.

I'm so surprised at the amount of comments "not sure" how the
Speciale looks - I know it's subjective etc but seriously? Speciale has taken the standard 458 to another (better) level. It's given it balls and an aggressive stance that the 458 was too soft to carry off. I simply think the S is now the male version, the 458 is elegant but lacks the testosterone that elevates the S into a truly knarly Supercar. I love it and think just as with the Scuderia it's going to capture people's attention more and more as further encounters unfold.

I count 6 "boxes" as well. From styling point of view it looks clunky and unimaginative.
