Hi Everyone... I just purchased a 1967 Sebring II.. Fun car to drive. Loving it.. Vin AM101 S10681 Just have a few problems to sort out... Its over heating at speeds of 45 mph, but not at idle, and the brakes have a bump when applied, but they do work great...
Hi Walter, Thank you.. Here are a few pictures... This was Blake Stevenson's car.. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, I know. And with Italian registration............. I personally would also chose the SII version over the Si.
Hi jippiejake, Very nice example indeed. I see that you have seatbelts in your car. I have an ongoing project on my Series II deciding how to install belts in the best way. Are yours lap or three point? Also see that the small covers that conceal the jacking points on you car are missing. These are also missing on my car, but can be easily fabricated. Enjoy your car and keep in touch if you feel like it and have the time. Kind regards, Jan AM101 S10269

One of the very best looking color combinations YUM!.........but still with the ride-height issue.....
About a year ago I became fascinated with the site IMCDb.org: Home page, a database for cars in movies. New to me at the time. I came across a movie called Arabesco from 1966 with Sofia Loren !! and Gregory Peck among others. It was supposed to also feature a silver Sebring. I saw said movie one evening. I sat there waiting for it ( the Sebring of course)to appear. And then suddenly it did !!!!- for about half a second ?! It wasn´t a complete waste of time though, a little dated of course, and rather dorky. A lot of cars did appear much longer than the silver Sebring, especially a stunning lipstick-red MB 230SL. And Sofia Loren is always...Sofia Loren! See the half-second Sebring below. Kind regards, Jan Image Unavailable, Please Login
Another film featuring a Sebring Series II is a German movie called "Klein Erna auf dem Jungfernstieg" from 1969. Supposedly a comedy. Personally I not too keen on German comedy. Please do not take offence all you friendly nice German people. Has anyone seen it? If so please tell me -how many seconds of Sebring! What really fascinates me here is the image of that black Sebring Series II-66 according to the movie-site. My Sebring is from 1966 and it´s black! Wow .. how many were black of the supposed 98 that were made that magic year. Absolutely mind boggling..that could be my car. But then again no..it lived in Italy at the time. But then again yes..it could well have been in Germany, it is a gran turismo. Does anyone recognize the city/street? Photo from the site mentioned above. An early Sebring Series I was featured in a British film from 1963 called "Doctor in Distress".Doctor in Distress (1963) - IMDb I think that this same car was tested in a car-magazine, maybe Motor. Not sure here but Walter certainly will know both the car and the VIN. Photographs from IMdcB. Enclosed some image, the engine bay of R. Vissers Series I, and a front/side view. The car also stands beautifully-IMO. Facebook conversation of today: RV: Here is the 3500 engine of my Sebring I # 1989 original delivered with Weber 42 DCOE's in december 1964. JF:According to our Swedish/Stockholm Maserati guru Åke N./AMK there is only one person in the world who can renovate the injection nozzles on the Lucas units properly. He lives and runs his business in the Netherlands. RV: That is Mr Harm Kleyn, a GOOD Lucas system works for ever !! But if you have a bad one it is also for ever !! Read the stories of Jay Leno , he spend more money on the Injectionsystem then the purchase of the car. Photos: R. Visser Regards, Jan Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don`t agree with that. Also Bill McGrath in the UK and a private person in Germany do excellent work in making the LUCAS-system working reliable! And I strongly believe that there are some more experts around.....
Walter, Thank you for your response, correcting and enlightening me/us. I´m definitely "new" to the Classic Maserati World and I must admit that my enthusiasm to learn does get in the way of my judgement sometimes. Anyway, it´s very comforting and reassuring to hear that there are more than one Lucas injection experts around. I deeply apologize to all the Lucas injection experts worldwide would may have read my earlier misunderstood ramblings. Living is learning, Jan

Hi Walter, You know the car then? Mr Stevenson did a great job rebuilding the engine, suspension, and brakes..But the brakes do have a bump when you apply them which can be a bit tricky.... Any idea for installing AC? I drive to Hollywood from the beach and cool air would be nice... What did you mean about Italian Registration? Thanks Mike
I feel the same way.. My car feels high also.. What should something like that cost to do? Image Unavailable, Please Login
