I have to replace the tires on my 2007 599GTB Fiorano. The car has only 1600 miles on it and is equipped with every option that Ferrari offered and more in 2007. I just had the car serviced and the dealer recommended that I change out the tires because of the age of the car. They are PZero's. I am not crazy about Pirelli's. Does anyone have any suggestions as to another tire that may be a little longer lasting and softer ride. I purchased the car a year ago with 300 miles on it and have put 1300 miles on it this year so I can expect to drive it under 2000 miles per year.
    Thank You

Check out the 599 section - there'll probably be threads in there about tires - probably suggesting Michelin Super Sport

It sounds like you won't do enough miles to worry about the life in miles of the tires but your having to replace due to age - six or seven years is that maximum for any brand

Peter- Which wheels do you have on your 599? They came with 19" F and 20" R and 20" Challenge wheels all around were optional. Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the tires to have if they have the correct sizes. Your owners manual has sizes for both sets of wheels, which are 245/40 19 F for the standard wheels and 245/35 20 for the optional wheels with 305/35 20s for the rear on both. Go to tirerack.com to see if they have the correct sizes for your wheels.

If you want a softer ride look at Continentals in the same sizes, DW and not DWS (S=snow).

I have a 2007 599 GTB with 3000 miles. I have it in for the yearly service and the dealer also recommended new tires because of the age. He got me excited about the Michelin Pilots, but further investigation found that they no longer make the sizes for the 599. It looks like the Pirelli PZero Rosso is the "only" tire currently available. I called Tire Rack, and they told me the 599 is the only car made with that size rear tire, and it was not worth it for Michelin to produce it anymore. Too bad we all have to live with an inferior tire in the PZero, the Pilots blow them away in every respect.

Take that car to the track a couple of times and then put some Super Sports on it.
