One day I'll have my Ferrari and will join you guys. Well, not driving there, but flying in to observe/learn/help. Is this typically in September?

I looked at the pictures from last year and must admit I just do not look good in an aluminum hat. Highway 10 is a breeze from Arizona until about Riverside then it would be another two hours (+) to Vince’s house. Also the CHP would have a road block set up somewhere on route waiting for me since my car is a known California “Gross Polluter”. Vince always does it right and it will be a good time for all in attendance. Maybe next year……………….:)

I'm not really a stickler for time on these events because we Ferrari people seem to have our own version of time. Still, show up when you like but if before 9AM you will probably be standing on the doorstep for some time. Leave when you like, but most hang around until politely after being feed, say 2-3 PM. If you're too drunk to drive we have beds. If you're too messy, we have a garden hose and hand goop. And we have a pool if you're too hot and a fireplace if you're too cold. Usually plugzit likes to get a roaring one going if he gets a PV chill. ;)

I got gloves, tarps and fluids containers galore, but bring whatever you feel you might need and don't sweat forgettting anything. We usually have it somewhere.

Greg's glassatron beast is a very thirsty vehicle and I am not sure he wants to fund the trip at 12 mpg. Plus, we Stooges don't know crap about 308's. Well, maybe Bruce knows a little, but it's just a foreign car to the rest of us. Only Bruce is old enough to have actually seen, if not worked on a carburetor thingy.

Wish I could join you guys for this session Vince. Sounds like it's going to be fun (and informative). I hope to make it by somewhere down the line. You all have a good time.

I am receiving between 9AM and 3PM. Before that you will wait on the door step and after that you run the risk of me taking a nap on the pool deck. ;)

Actually you can stay as long as needed or you like. There is no curfew. :)

Speak for yourself. I owned, nitroused, and rebuilt motors on 308's. My first Ferrari was a Nero '78 GTS carb car with european spoiler and BBS wheels. That car was then what the 355 is now with airbox off, air horns removed, and blasting in tunnels.

Forgot you started with a baby Ferrari. I tried to blot out everything before your Mondial ownership. ;) So, yes we have a 308 expert in house who will be splitting his time at the grill. :D

To all those who own Mondials you better put some ice down their to prevent the swelling.

I have decided that on no account would I ever own a Mondial. Not so long as I could be a decent 308 GT4 for the same money. :) Still, knowing how the mechnicals work is contributory knowledge to ownership of another, superior, Ferrari. :p

I'm down for bringing beer as well. I hope we can still get some work done.

Looking for a reasonably priced 308 gt4 myself right now, or possibly a 456. I'd like to get something fun with 4 seats to compliment the 355.

We'll have a lot to discuss because secretly I want a nice GT4. These are only going to go up once the world realizes how special they are. Plus with a 1975 you can flip off CA smog.

Anyone else signing up for the private Ferrari drive that Dustin (SCS) is organizing? He put a thread out on it in the Southern California section.

I agree that they are way under valued at the moment. Unfortunately everyone I see is either rusted out junk needing a ground up restoration (saw one that went for $8,000) or asking too much (basically the same price I can get a 456 for) though in the long run will be worth a lot more someday.

But for the moment I have too many cars in the driveway and need to get rid of a few first. Anyone interested in a 1970 Ford Bronco?
