Yes agree, more specifically the C/F intake plenums. I also love the red aluminum ones better, I always wonder if they can make the plenums out of red carbon fiber, but I believe real C/F only comes in black. The red ones on the market are not real C/F.

According to the Speciale's powertrain video, the Speciale's specific C/F plenums, air box, inlet ducts and exhaust system is worth 8 kg of weight reduction.

Hi friends of the forum. Do you know if the standard seat with 4 point seat belts are standard or you can order the seats with a normal 3 point?

    Thanks ;)

If I'm not mistaken, 4 points are optional. Yes you can order with the normal 3 points.

Please advise how convenient is it to secure/fasten the belts on the 4 point harness for daily usage?

The 4 points is designed for track use, it's not that difficult to fasten once you get used to it. As for convenience, you can't even reach the compartment without un-fasten the seatbelt...IMO not convenient for DD

The 4 point belt looks cool and sportier though. I like the look. Maybe not so practical though

I'd like to see how the car looks without the gaudy cavallino on the front bumper.

Went to the IAA today. My points:
    - the guys on the stand were explicit that the Speciale will NOT be a limited run
    - the car does look better in person, yet it's isn't an all-out step up from the 458 as the Scud was for the 430.
    - the was no 'normal' 458 on the stand (for that same reason)?
    - I specced two draft versions of 'my Speciale' (in preparation for more news from the dealer) with Sebastian too (very knowledgeable guy!)
    - I'm tilting towards yellow with the 'small stripe' in grey or full black with gold wheels... got some more time to decide though!

All in all, was good to see the car in the flesh.

Thanks for the info. Is the "small stripe" the scud stripe or similar/same as I've seen on the 16M? Congrats on your upcoming order!

Yes, I was at Frankfurt yesterday. The guy responsible for the Speciale said you will have 3 options: no stripe, scuderia stripe, and nart stripe. He also said that you cannot change the color on the nart stripe. If you let's say want red in the middle or green, you have to visit Tailor Made / get an atelier car.

I agree with TomTom77. The car imho looks absolutely amazing in real life. The styling suits me perfectly! I love what they've done styling wise, although I think the tiny perfomance increase (in my eyes) is a bit soft.

It should also be noted they had a 458 Spider in a beatiful black, "nero stilato" it was called. Nero with diamond flakes, a treat for the eyes under shiny spotlights. :)

I went there too today.I personally thank Mr.Sebastian .What a nice guy.He deserves officially my personal tks and he is now informed that we speak about him and his professional attitude here..He is becoming quite famous now right?:) He is even and of course driving fast cars too so he totally understands what we need or expect by this car.
The car: what a crowd. You should see what the car ispired to visitors.Almost impossible to get close..if not invited inside the booth.
I am more anf more convinced that the majority here will change opinions when will see her in person.Proportions..look..style and details will leave a sign in your minds my friends!
I.configured for about one hour the car.The special fantastic colour we have seen in the last spy shots..is notyet in the confgurator but will be a 3 layer colour..
The configurator could arrive even this week but noone knows yet.
I tried to configure the car with dark colours and soft interiors.I was allowed to take pics and use them for all you.Hope this help to understand what a beauty we are speaking about.I.personally love a lot the Scud stripes and could go with them.. we will see soon. Finally you will notice the radio and gps as they will be delivered.
Ps: pics were taken by a cell phone from the video of my configuration. This was my best sorry..

A question the atelier. I was there yesterday, but without any reps from my dealer. The guys guarding the door said you could come into the atelier after a while. I was under the impression you had to have a booking with your rep to arrange a configuration or did you just walk in and say you wanted to spec the car? I didn't really get any info from my dealer except the invitatiob.

On a side note, kind of pissed me off that Maserati would not even allow you to sit in their cars without a rep from your dealer! guy at M said he could call my dealer and fetch him but I said "he's a long way away" (I flew in yesterday morning). The and then he said they couldn't even let me in the M lounge, even though I was on the guestlist.(!!) Luckily Ferrari aren't as silly! Did anyone else get the heads up on this Maserati foolishness or was it just me who was ill-informed?

I am amazed at how much better the front looks when the stripe ends in the hood vents. What a great effect from such tiny change. Asa far as I know, this or nearly identical was first proposed by fellow member Milanno in his 458S render.

That's what I thought. It makes the interior look so much sportier with the 4-point restraints.

Thx for sharing and congratulations! Interesting but I find the Scuderia livery to be more appealing than the white/Nart Blue one, as it lines up better, as aforementioned

Is the answer to VAT included, at 238k, yes?

Is it reasonable to assume the U.S. price to be $317,087 less 20%?
