    Sad to say China is famous for such public display. They had Merc and Lamborghini destroyed with full media coverage. Often it's more owners lack of basic knowledge as how to operate their new toys, compounded by the explosive growth in the market with dealers poorly trained and lack of competent technicians. Recently a few Lamborghini caught fire in some city and not helping the brand there. In the end, we never been told if the mfr bought back these vehicles and am sure after such public display, the owner, right or wrong would not rest his case..

    I can understand the frustration. And when money is not that important, it can be satisfying to do this nowadays knowing it will become viral and will create a lot of negative talk for BMW. When you read youtube comments, lots of people bashing bmw and its (poor) reliability.
