    Anyone know what a "Ferrari Logbook" is? I'm attempting to get Ferrari.com to recognize my ownership of my 355. They claim that the information that they have on file does not match what I sent them and they want to see my Ferrari Logbook.

    I sent them the following:

    Bill of sale with VIN endorsed from the previous owner;
    California Title document with VIN endorsed by the previous owner;
    Sale letter from the broker that handled the transaction;
    Insurance card with VIN and my name;
    Photos of the car, license plate, etc.

    One would think that this should be sufficient. What is the log book?

    I had exactly the same problem that you state. I ended up sending a copy of the data page from the warranty book for my car that shows the selling dealer as well as vin along with a copy of my title. That did the trick for me. Good luck.

    I'll have to take a look for that. I have all of my books but I know several owners who don't have them for their 15 year old car. I don't understand why an out of date warranty book would be more important than the State issued title documents. Maybe its just the Italian way.

    They are using a very old English term. In the UK there used to be a logbook which stayed with a car throughout its life which had owner history etc. This was abolished many years ago but people still refer to the "Registration Document" as the logbook even though its only one sheet of paper now. Its a government-issued document. I would guess the USA equivalent is the title document.

    I sent my state issued registration for the car. Registration has V.I.N., year, make, model, and owners name.

    They must have reconsidered and now have accepted what I sent them as sufficient.

    Just curious about the what and why here. What am I missing out on at Ferrari.com that ownership allows?

    I'm in their system now so I am just learning. From what I understand they offer discounts on various products (20% off or more) a newsletter, etc. Others with more experience may be able to tell you more.

    The only reason I came across it is that on another thread, someone was looking to purchase a Ferrari watch and was informed that if registered on Ferrari.com, you received discounts off their products.

    At the moment, I don't know what the other benefits are. The bill it as the most exclusive web membership on the internet.
