Most of the F40s are bought and sold in developed nations. How much do you think the population has increased in the past 5 years? Just 4-5 years ago they were selling for 500-700K. In inflation adjusted terms, never is a very long time.......

does anyone have historical F40 prices, going back to when they were new?

it would be fun to overlay that data with, say, the S&P 500 or GDP growth, etc.

    :)

I hear ya but Gen Y is about to dip its toes into this mkt and dont under estimate their ability and desire to own these cars. Gen Y is also, and give or take a few million, basically the same size as the boomer generation....

What desire to own these vehicles? Many of them don't enjoy driving period. Besides when the goal is to keep the vehicle low mileage (for investment/resale) you don't get much driving joy out of a purchase.

Really more than saying "F40s are appreciating" one should look at which are appreciating the most. Low mileage excellent cars. High mileage dubious vehicles aren't appreciating, as the RM Auctions vehicle showcased wonderfully. Even within quality vehicles, quality matters.
