Hi from a newbie, Although I have owned my 308 for several years, I am just starting to have some issues with my fuse box(s). I have found these 9 position fuse panels online for about $27.00 a pop. They take blade type fuses and may accept the OEM covers. Does anyone have any experience with these? Once again they are ATC/ATO 9 position panels, actually suitable for under the bonnet. I love Birdman's and I know there are many happy drivers out there with his great product but I would like to put the covers on mine. Thanks much and no disrespect to Birdman, he has been a great resource for me and I know many of you.

I made the conversion a couple of years ago and posted a report (with pics): http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/354146-yafb-yet-another-fusebox-solution.html I got the fuse holders from an outfit called Wiring Products, Ltd (Electrical & Wiring Supplies - Automotive, Marine and Commercial - WiringProducts) phone: 775 425 5526. Here's the specific unit I used: 8 Circuit ATO/ATC Fuse Block Side Entry - WiringProducts I am very pleased with the quality of the fuse holders, and the clear plastic covers look a lot like the originals. The size is pretty close to the originals, and I even could have pried the aluminum labels off the original covers and glued them on the new ones, but I'll probably just make replicas. I had to make a bracket to mount the fuse holders and I made a cover out of thin plastic covered with (reversed) naugahide bra material.
Thank you Mike, I will have to look at those. The ATC/ATO really look like they would do the job, and I may by a pair to see if they work out. I could always change them out if they don't. Phil
Mike, I do like the looks of what you showed me. Of course there are only 8 circuits available. Might I ask how you consolidated the circuits to go from 9 to 8. Thanks so much. Phil M.
I'm sorry, the part number I gave you is wrong. The ones I used were AF-CFB10A, which have 10 positions, but no longer appear on their website. Maybe you can give them a call and see if they have any of the 10 position boxes left. I went to the Arlington (manufacturer) website and found this ATC/ATO 10-way Heavy Duty, Side Terminal Fuse Block which is pretty close, but has two covers for each block, and may be too long at 7.25". Their 8-way standard box is only 4-13/16 long but will take 30A per circuit, so you could double up a couple of those 15A circuits with (say) a 20A or 25A fuse. I have one spare fused output on each box. Here's a better picture of the installation. You'll notice that on the top (input) side where one wire feeds several fuse tabs I used those brass expanders. I bent the top tab on the expander over to the next tab and soldered them together. Then I shrink-wrapped them to discourage any shorts. I couldn't buy the 10 slot ones anywhere, so mounted 2 x 8's and a 4 slot, giving 2 spare. Quite a complex install, and in the meantime found a source for the 10 slot (had to convince the retailer that he could get them in), so while the car was off the road for its major, made them up - will install later. Having too much fun driving my new 308 for now! If you flip the boxes upside down, you can bridge the terminals with thick copper wire - a much more professional looking install. I was going to solder on the double adaptors too - glad I didn't, now I can just swap them to the new fuse box.
I was going to do that, but the structure of the boxes would have required cutting slots in the plastic and I was afraid it would compromise the structural integrity. I didn't solder the adaptors on to the male connectors on the box, I soldered them together separately, then inserted them.
