I'm going to the F1 race weekend in Nov and considering bringing my 328GTB. Are there special provisions for Ferrari parking during this event? Seems like I heard last year FOC members could park their F car for free for the weekend. I'm actually not a FOC member currently but it may be less $$ to join rather than pay the CRAZY parking fees for the F1 event.

Anybody have any insight regarding this?
    Thanks,
    Greg in Houston

FCA has made arrangements for parking at the track.

They have moved the Ferrari Parking from the lot near the turn 12 seating. It is now across the ring road, and was a gravel lot last year. Parking Lot F.

May be paved, but do not know.

Thank you both but, is there a parking fee charged if one is an FCA member? Weighing options, not currently an FCA member.

...for free, nothing is free at COTA :). I drove my 360CS and Citroen SM and parked at the airport, clearly the fastest way in and out of the track on race (faster than some of my neighbors that were using helies)

Yes, but... I heard a rumor that last year Ferraris were parking for free. This is not true?

Not a cheapskate, but not a sucker either. $200 for parking is ludicrous.

Was there a shuttle to and from the airport for the track every day?

I didn't hesitate to buy parking again this year after what I witnessed last year. I'm not going to wait to get on a bus and still have to walk a mile after it drops me off. I'd rather get out of my car, walk 5 minutes and be at the track. It's even better after the race, there's my car. I walk to it and drive away. No waiting in line with 50k other people for a bus ride to a parking garage. It was well worth the cost.

Parking was not free for Ferrari's last year.

Don, I've had my tix for the GP for months, but haven't gotten a parking pass yet (didn't have my FCar then). Would love to join in w/the other FCA guys. Where did you get your pass? Via the FCA, directly from the COTA F1 site, or elsewhere?

There's a link on FCA web page. Look for Texas events/ formula one.

Through the FCA website as well. Glad you were able to get them. I would have responded earlier but just returned from a Rush watching party. Great movie! Highly recommend.

We will ALL see each other in those food lines!! I also parked in Turn 12 lot last year and had no trouble. However; this year we are further away and doubt the new (different)lot is paved because it wasn't last year. BigTex would be the one to confirm 2013 status.

I am another FChat meeting participant!
