FREE Driver's education school - for TRACKING a car!!!! Saturday, October 12th!!

Complimentary driver's education school for any FCA members that want to learn how to drive a car on a track!!

Expert instructor will show you all the basics, including but not limited to, braking, acceleration, cornering, apex, what the flags mean, car control, tire contact patch, weight distribution, safety, and much more!!

For anyone who has thought about taking a car on a track, but wanted to learn more, this is your chance!! This is a great course for beginners as well as for those that just want to refresh and refine their skills. Typically, a class like this would cost thousands of dollars, but we are offering it FREE to FCA members. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion, as well as a coupon for a discount on an upcoming FCA track event.

Space is limited, and advanced registration is required. Must be an FCA member to participate. Class is being held at Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale at 11:30am.

over the years I have done more track events then you have hair on your head! LOL

 

That's not very many track events Paul! lol.......That is like me saying Astronauts landed on the moon more times than YOU have hair on YOUR head!

 

Now this is funny........two guys that are 'follicle challenged' making references to the count of hairs on their heads..........

What's the over/under odds on hair growth vs making it all the way to Broward county???

This course is really going to be a great chance for people to learn the basics of tracking a car. I suggest anyone who never had the opportunity to actually learn the technical aspects of car control and aspects of tracking from a professional driver should plan to attend. This is also a good opportunity to get your 'significant other' or your kids into the basics, and good information on driving even if you don't track a car! Did I mention this is FREE for FCA members???

I reviewed the course overview with the instructor today, and I think it is really going to be good. There is even a bit of material specific to PBIR for those doing Maranello Madness. We have gotten a good response to this. We even have some people bringing their teenage driving kids to this, as well as spouses/significant others, as it really is a good learning experience for everyone. And, even for those that have been on the track a lot, there is always something to learn.

 

Any idea how long the class will be?

Depends upon the number of questions, and student interaction with the presentation. Estimate is about 2 hours.

I have registered and am coming down from Orlando to attend.

Just wondering if we are going to be doing any driving or is it an instruction only class?

Determining if its worth driving a normal car down...

in the past it has always been instruction and driving. I am sure it will remain the same.

 

Paul, this is being held at the Dealership (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale), not at a track. I would say it's instruction only, no driving/tracking until the following week at PBIR..... IMO

 

The class is at FFL.....classroom only.

On track is the following weekend.
