I also had the stripes put on my rossa scuderia CS. It definitedly looks better with the stripes. I was wondering if anybody has the stripes actually paint on instead of the sticker? I was told that the factory stripes are sticker decal and then had clear coat paint over it. The issue was that the sticker cracks after many years.
True. At age 10 I haven't seen that yet. Where did you hear this and how could the person possibly know given that the cars are only 10 now?
A 1949 TC. It's a very well documented car that was a race car in the UK for several years. These pictures were of it racing at Goodwood and some rallies/hillclimbs in the UK. Very fun car to drive but I can't fathom racing it. It gets a little dodgy once you hit 60. Restored about 6 years ago. Not a concours car but a very clean driver. Yes, there's currently one for sale with a painted stripe. I have seen (and driven) many Stradales and have never seen OEM, factory applied stripe crack.

15 examples for sale but not a single CS listed on eBay. Soon to be 14 once I receive confirmation from the buyer of a pristine CS.... check out the details. RS with factory stripe, red/blk alcantara, RS calipers (rare!), hi-fi, extinguisher, all original keys, fobs, covers, etc, and LESS than 2,400 miles!!
Interesting, triple digits, passengers had some type of injuries, but air bags didn't deploy....at least that's what it looks like in the pics.
I was told by the factory authorized Ferrari body shop manager at my local Ferrari dealership that he has seen issue with cracked factory stripe below the clear coat. My thinking was that these cars are probably ones that are daily drivers and have been sitting in the sun and summer heat in uncovered parking.
There's this one on the island and yours. Unless you shipped her back to mainland. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/139429046-post13.html
