I believe Ferrari will make more Speciale's than Scuderia's, markets are simply growing, limiting the number of Speciale's does not make sense if Ferrari wants to increase sales/profits and achieve growth.

3,000 Speciale's will still make this car rare if you consider world wide market size today.

 

But ferrari stated they plan to cutback number of cars manufactured to ensure exclusivity.

 

Has a price been confirmed yet ?

 

I talked to my Ferrari Dealer (principal) last week on it - 1st deliveries in Europe will be in November/December with Pricing (was a little surprised) approx. 40.000 EURO higher than the 458 Italia list price (before any options) (285.000 EURO in Austria incl. Taxes) - I thought would be more expensive but have not seen full speces / options yet....

 

I understand that Ferrari will introduce an "M" version to fuel global sales/profits albeit extending the model run of the already successful Italia.

This will bring more exclusivity to the Speciale if they limit to 1,700.

I like the NART stripes as well!

 

The Modificata conversion has been abandoned for a long time now.

 

It was a very nice event..something you will experience soon,I hope, in your Countries..For Swiss enthusiasts: this car is leaving now for your Country so try to know more by your dealers

If they will produce 1700-3000 or somewhere in between, would it not follow a similar depreciation cycle as the Scud? (Minus the blip in the 2008 downturn)

 

Nice photos. One question please. Does 458 Speciale have ''moving'' aerodynamic parts? I'm referring to the red flaps under the diffuser.

Indeed these are movable. The front cream colour ports also.

The car looks great in that video and the sound is to die for.

The typical complaints for a new car regarding styling...the car is going to be epic and when the car arrives on our shores buyers will be kicking themselves for not getting on the early list of buyers.

 

Nice vid...the rocker panel winglets seem awfully small. Have they explained the functionality of its downforce purpose? They just seem too small to provide a significant benefit.

 

It's not for downforce. It conditions the turbulent air flowing on either side of the car probably to speed up and direct the airflow over the rear wheels more cleanly.

Very nice! Is the Speciale presented in Rosso Scuderia?
There appears to be a tinge of orangeness under the intensity of the lights.

 

Got the prices today from my dealer in Monaco. €3229 for Harness in a track car, €1231 for the shield (which is meant for race cars) €8372 for race livery €5500 for hi-fi and navigation. €260k for my spec.

 

Looks like the car is a brighter red then the standard Corsa colour.

But, certainly the presenters assistants socks are corsa red...over brown shoes on a navy blue suit....very nice touch
