Thats awesome. Congrats
Just another example that these things work better when they are used and enjoyed. I've had 7 Ferraris and various other exotics over the years. They all were well taken care of, and they all were driven regularly on both the road and track...... and they have all been flawless. well done and keep driving!
This is fantastic! My 456M still has less than 18K miles on it, but it was at just 7K when I bought it 18 months ago, so LOOK OUT! In 15 years, I'll be at 100K. I'll also be 70. lol. Cheers, George
As a long time owner of Corvettes, then Porsches, I am getting ready to move on to a 360 Cab. 6 -speed. Thanks for taking some of the "durability angst" out of the mark.
I recently came across a Cali car blue 360 with 140k+ miles that wins shows. That's how well kept it is .
I am selling my 360 with 28k miles and I have to listen to offer rationalization from perspective buyers because the mileage is over 10k. Using their calculations your car is now worth $10,000 bucks (maybe) if there is not a blemish on the car. If you have stone chips then its only worth 5k.(according to their calculations) Great to see these cars that are maintained properly in the upper mileage range. I would not hesitate buying a high mileage car 25+k miles as long as the service history is verifiable. Keep driving I love posts like these, people enjoying their cars.
If or when I ever sell mine.. at 55k miles now I can just imagine the $25k offers I'd get. And or trade for a tricked Camaro, Porsche 996, Boat.. etc. etc. This is my what I want(ish) take it or find another for less. Good luck!
Pat- If I had the cash your car would be mine, 28k is nothing for mileage, especially for someone who wants to keep it and drive it.
I have to laugh at times and it is hard to keep my cool sometimes but you can not get through to people. Kickers don't understand they focus on their budget to see if you are desperate and offer cash. You turn them down and they tell you about other cars. They compare mine to a car with no history with all of the goodies gone one key needing belts and a clutch within a year but because it has 8,000 miles it is a great car. Mine all services up to date from Ferrari service stations only, new clutch no belts needed until 2015 but 28k miles and they want to offer 60 to 70k because it has lots of miles?
I'm in the same boat, tried to sell my car with 48km and had ridiculous offers cause of high mileage , they didn't care it had a new clutch and all servicing up to date, so I just took it off and now passing 50km mark, I probably lost another 10k off car lol. They were lookin at cars with no history and had no idea what was done but the price range was good at the repo depot
If it helps, I was happy to pay all the money for my 360 w/21k miles 3 years ago. It had everything done. Tubi headers, cats, tubi, balljoints, latest variators, clutch, etc. Paint was immaculate. Leather immaculate (and it came with spare OEM seat leather). All keys, tools, books, cover, etc., etc, etc. I saw the car, got a ride (didn't even drive it), slept on it, spoke to Fernando at Competizione about it, then we worked out the price in about 5 minutes. I subsequently watched someone buy a pretty clean car and spend $25k bringing up to (essentially) identical to my car. He had his eyes wide open going in but I was happy to have all that stuff done already. Point being, the right people are out there. The guys wasting your time aren't serious. Many of the comps they cite turn out to be turds. I looked at a "bargain" 360 with so much paintwork I lost track what was original and what was repainted. Another where I could see sanding marks in the filler underneath the paint.
At 8-14y most of these car has paint work or need paint work. Especially the rockers. Its aabout how good the paint work is. Some are very good which I see no reason for it to be a negative. Remember these cars got paint work at the dealer when new .
I about to trip 25K on my 1999 360 as well. I drive the &^&% out of mine. I have put 6K on it in just a few years.
