    Fastest == top speed.

That video shows which of the two is quickest to whatever speed they were running to.

The Veyron Super Sport / Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is still an insanely fast machine, and at 250+ mph is still one of the most stable (if not the most stable) car at those speeds.

    +1

Saw it in person at Pebble Beach, as well. Quite epic looking, in person.

(As a side note, I am sad that only one of three will come to the US. Severely limits my ability to have a Veneno in my collection. They're making Roadsters, and more than 3, but I have no interest in the roadster version, unfortunately.)

Two of the three Veneno's? Or two of the upcoming roadsters?

Yet value aside, in the real world I'd take the CGT over the Enzo all day everyday.

Wonder how a capacitor system would do in this type of supercar. They definitely take the cake in terms of power density. The TS030's system was featured on that little Yaris Hybrid R, I can't imagine the cost it would be and the engineering it would take. But it sure would be awesome.

Images are several weeks behind the actual start of production. A few customers already have received their P1s in hand. :)

No - cars won't begin arriving here until sometime in Q1 2014.

Why would they begin production when its apparently slower than how fast they said it would be..

Very early to say but maybe the car is a flop.

I'm no fan of McLaren or their road cars, but I have to believe that just because it hasn't officially broken all kinds of records at The Ring doesn't mean its a flop of any kind!
P1 will be very fast in nearly every conceivable metric.

Of course the same goes for LaFerrari.

That's a pretty ignorant thing to say, but anyway production of P1s started in mid-July long before the rumors began circling about N'Ring times.

If McLaren engineer any additional updates for the cars those will be made available to present owners just as they have been with the 12C.

Look I know practicality and Lamborghini are two words that should never appear in the same sentence but I have to ask, where the hell do you put a number plate on that thing front or rear.

PS I still think it is one of the worst looking Lambo's ever produced, kids under the age of 14 will love it , and women over the age of 28 will just laugh at you as you drive past. As for those in between, to be honest I’m just not sure…

I think what Lambo is investigating here is how to bring LMP1 form to GT cars. LMP1 channels air around a teardrop cockpit form and turns the fenders into aero wheel shrouds. This is a big change from designing a car to move air over a car. The Audi, Toyota and Porsche LMP1's are examples of this design taken to the limit and for racing it really works. Visually it's shocking and not pleasing in a traditional way a bit to hyper technical. A number of us are looking into this and it's complicated and hard to make a car that is a cross between an LMP1 and a GT but it's the future especially for GT cars that will be raced.

As of yet I understand the capacitor systems in the TS030 are quite dangerous in accidents..
