Well, the F12 is certainly holding value. Looks like a used one just went off at 80k over MSRP. Just thought I'd share that.
Hey does anyone know the Porsche equivalent to Ferrarichat.com?
I picked up a 991 and wanted to ask a few questions. Thanks!

The cars are barely veing delivered...way too early to think about holding value. Maybe in a year.

Agreed. It's far too premature to say anything about value. Right now, the prices are driven by impatience, not necessarily by true supply/demand (e.g., the Enzo), and not by how awesome / not awesome the car is.

Like all V12's, they'll drop. We should call it the Ferrari constant (Fk).

Well, I'm hoping the F12 prices are down some next year, as I'd like to upgrade from my 599. I may have to wait 2 years to get the delta down to where it's doable.

Where? In the US where there are barely even any for sale? What's $80K over sticker in the US is 40K Euro under sticker in Europe.

When I was in a dealership this summer they just got their first one in, and the salesman told me that they would command a premium for the first year, and then the prices would drop below sticker pretty quickly after that.

You may want to join the Porsche Club of America. I have been a member for 27 years. Porsche Club of America - Home and although the forum is 'coming soon' there is a technical Q&A area that has plenty of answers to plenty of questions. Membership includes a monthly magazine the Panorama that is worth far more than the cost of membership!

I know of one F12 that sold for $120k over sticker.

The car is being produced in very limited numbers in the U.S.

Dealers are receiving 5-9 cars per year!

Way too early to make that distinction. The Italias went for over MSRP for a while.

My guess is they will sell over sticker for awhile maybe 1.5 to 2 years and then under sticker after that. 599's at first were 200 over Now 100 to 150 under.

I posted this on another thread, but I spoke with my dealer today and he told me that the allocation numbers for the F12 are basically the exact same as they were for the 599, so he thinks the values will be the same. Trade for over sticker for 2 years for the people who have to have one now, and then the prices will come down when more are on the market.

I saw 599's sell for $450K to $500K at Penske Wynn. I am sure the F12 will command a premium for at least 1.5 to 2 years and then come back down to reality for a f-car!
