For some reason the stripe reminds me of a Ford GT in front with the vent in the hood. Stripe less looks pure and clean
Yea. Bugatti and koengsegg do this. Also look at mansory's f12. They do the regular exposed grey carbon fiber. Then with a colored clear coat they clear coat the car and it comes out tinted to whatever color.
I managed to get the Personalization Brochure for the 458 Speciale in PDF. Feel free to send me a PM with your mail address if you want me to send it to you... If there's a techie-person out here who can tell me where I can upload it so everybody can access it, even better...
with the stripes, we can tell if it's a Speciale...I like the NART stripes on any Rosso...but for dark color, those gray liveries is nice also
The 458S base price is USD 33,500 more than that of Italia in Dubai. Prices here are similar to the US, so that's what you guys are looking at price wise.
Great PDF guys and again thanks Tom By he way can someone tell the the difference between standard seats and the carbon fiber sport seats you can have as option? And if possible post some photos. Also one user talked about an option of having the exhaust in black but I can see it in the options. Is it true or what?! Again thanks Paulo
+1.Thanks Tom. About the seats, the standard ones are the ones that you can see on the website or on the 458 Speciale used in Frankfurt. The optionals ones are the 458 Italia racing seats style. I heard that the black exhaust will be available later as an option, but not yet. Best. FSS
Thank you. Now I know. Ferrari should definitely do that to the C/F intake plenum to bring back "Testarossa".
Crazy, isn't? Some little 458S revs. PS: Kind of different comparing to the other videos? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYRCSO2IRcA]Ferrari 458 Speciale REV SOUND - YouTube[/ame]
Probably a repost but this is pretty interesting stuff. I like the moveable flaps in the rear defuser bit. It also explains the little winglet on the side. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdKp1Lb6cDA]Ferrari 458 Speciale - Focus on aerodynamics - YouTube[/ame]
With some help (thanks, Thomas!), here's the Personalization Brochure attached... saves me from sending it another 20 times or so! ;-) Finally found some time to read it myself. Immediately raised a couple of questions though: - The differences between the leather and alcantara options are quite strange. With Alcantara, the area surrounding the 'camel humps' seem to remain this (cheap-looking) "F1 Technical fabric", whereas with leather, it seems to become all leather. - Also, it shows that the top of the dashboard is standard alcantara, yet it is listed as an option (DSHA) - The interior in standard form is a bit 'messy' to me: leather (on the steering wheel), 2 types of CF (glossy and polished), alcantara (dashboard), "3D fabric", "F1 Technical fabric")... - Parking sensors and rear view camera seems to have disappeared from the October options list, whereas they were mentioned in the September one. Tom, the "DSHA" means not the principal dashboard, it means the last and a little part of it (almost touching the wipers)
Thought about that too, but then the both pictures on page 38 (where the entire principal dashboard is covered in alcantara) and page 39 (where the same bits are covered) are wrong?

Thanks for posting it Tom. I'm also confuse, in .pdf the sides above the winglets still have Pininfarina logo but not on the real car.
