You sure that isn't 98 RON, not octane?

    98 RON = 93 AKI.

A little out of place but i have a question for the "early car" owners.
I recently bought a (steel, sorry:)) March '77 gtb WITHOUT outside mirrors. Although I know the early ones came with only one mirror I Will place one on each Side.

Now my question: can any of you take exact measurement of the position of the mirror(s)?

Btw I Will place the "real" vitalone californians

IMO, an early car should be on Cromodoras.

Campy came on later as a supplier (and it's actually a nicer, sharper mold, IMO) and they are harder to find. You also lose the silk screening on them if you have to paint them.

Chromos have the raised lettering in the casting.

I have several spare SETS of 14"s, if you really come up blank there in the UK.
They are not really hard to find, sometimes they are rough condition at this point.

Someone has repainted that door, to get the red door release handle.

I can get you measurements, or you might be able to see the old holes if you got that trim panel off???

The car was a Euro that was imported to the USA, Federalised and has now gone back to Europe I believe....

A very kind person has just donated an original 308 sales brochure to me, produced for the launch of the car in 1976.
Thought I'd just post the pages here as a reference point as obviously it's a Vetro, and might help others find one.

    Hope it's of some interest.

Just acquired this original ad from a magazine or catalogue for the fiberglass 308, it's not dated but reading it through it must be from 1976 and the launch of the car in the US.

What makes it really interesting reading today was the way they marketed the Vetro all those years ago as a rare car for the collectors, " one of those special cars that Ferrari
makes every once in a while", "it will become a prized collectors masterpiece" and "more reason to believe that these cars will become more valuable"...... nearly 40 years on
    and they were right there!

Again, Mike, thanks a lot for this add! It's extremely interesting to see how much they emphasized the whole fiber thing, especially when you often hear one of the reasons why fiber was replaced by steel was the fact American market was reluctant having a "plastic" Ferrari.

Another funny part is the "limited to 300" thing. Does it mean they already knew the production would change from fiberglass to steel? Anyway eventually, the number of US market fiber 308 is much less than that.

Really a fascinating document you got us here, thanks again!

At the risk of being a pedant Mike, that brochure looks like 120/76 which is not the early brochure. The car was launched in 1975. You need 111/75, the difference being apart from the colour centre spread, the brochure is printed in black and white. Here's a quick comparison..

"Stop in at one of your local Ferrari Dearlers and talk to him about the Ferrari mystique or VISIT THE FERRARI DISPLAY ON THE FOURTH FLOOR."

Which car show has a fourth floor? :)

Carl, I'm not too sure since the resolution of the pics is not sufficient to judge, but do I see the radio antenna on the roof on the pics of the original sales brochure? It is clear the pictures are all different between the two versions of the brochure, but I'm just wondering if they used the prototype (the one we see on your Pininfarina pictures) or not for the first sales brochure they released.
