There appears to be a nice '88 turbo targa for sale at Mecum this weekend, no affiliation.

Yes seemingly, here's a 1977 Turbo Carrera (I know, it looks rough. I didn't do that damage, but original is original):

Thanks Simon; you rarely see online images where you can make out the details on these decals. At the ’76 auction link that Jay posted there's an image that shows a similar decal to yours so perhaps differences between U.S. and RoW were: U.S. decals only in English, EPA emission information included, and use of “Turbo CID 182.6 Engine Family” vs. “911 Turbo 3.0l”.

It is my understanding that the seller owns 7 other early early Turbos, and half a dozen 65 911's as well as a bunch of GT3RS.......... I think he just wants a change!!!

Jose, make a note of the GT3 RS, the LAST manual gearbox RS-themed car from Porsche, truly the end of an era. I see one in your future!

That would be correct.. every now and then he switches a few around. I can tell you though that all of his cars are in very nice condition with a number of them being excellently preserved and unrestored.

A once proud 1977 930 now a carcass for sale on eBay, chassis number 9307800341 - still with the ignition key:

Porsche 1977 911 930 Turbo Body Clip for Parts or Restoration with Key | eBay

These images show the loop oil cooler on the front right-fender for the 1977 930 model year. Did ’76 930’s have this same loop oil cooler or were they equipped with radiator versions as the ’75 930s?

If you have unlimited resources, send the bits back to Porsche Ag, and in about 12 months they will redeliver a brand new 9307800341 back to you! :)

CPR/Brian Doherty can do the same for less...

Silver 1976 Turbo Carrera, chassis number 9306800011 featured in the November 1975 issue of Panorama. The photo of the engine may be chassis number 9306800012 (does not appear to be a silver painted car) that was later stolen from the Los Angeles Road & Track office. Note, there is no decal on the engine fan housing.

My 1975 930 trunk data plate. I believe the plates for the 1975 930 model year were unique in that the series block was left blank and they were the only Porsche plates with this combination of weights: Total Permitted – 1470kg, Permitted Axle Load Front – 600kg, and Permitted Axle Load rear – 870kg. Does anyone have an image of a 1976 or 1977 930 trunk plate they can post?
