Some clowns buy an old car and swap out the paper onto a new car. Dump the old car, bring a new car in and apply the chassis and engine number. Not saying this is the case here but errr.... an 81 Carrera updated to a 996. Lets say it would involve changing a lot of parts from the chassis to engine to body to errr everything... Actually who the heck would want to update an 81 to a 996. Haha. Sorry jon kidding.

Before you know it there will be MR2s with full body kit made to look like a 430 running around for sale. Yeah right.

Understand. Think I'm a little spooked now as there is a fine line between selling a car as a lemon and selling a car that through wear and tear may give up days after purchase which is no fault of the seller. Italian exotics are not the most robust, and as a dealer to hold them responsible for repairs down the road is tantamount to a warranty. If more claims are made, at some point dealers will need to get warranty coverage on their portfolio of cars and build it into the cost of the car.

Wasn't it mentioned that it was a scud already. Pretty exciting if so! But must say I'm too old for a car with no interior. Kens car is so highly strung it tires me to sit in it... Made the RS feel positively civilized haha.

I'm too old for these stripped down cars too mate. It's gonna be my new daily so need something more livable. Scud is lovely but too much as a daily for me.

agreed mate ... & quite honestly i'd be surprised if a court rules in favour of a buyer of a 2nd hand car against the dealer ... unless it was proven beyond doubt that the seller knowingly hid the defects from the buyer ...

Shhhhh.... don't you know porschephiles love to update their cars especially in the wild 80-90s period? :D

Must say whoever did that is a hero because among all the work, he also added a radiator & fill it with water to cool it! ^^

Hmmm. Harold you aren't starting a car dealership are you? Go buy a new car like Mp then sit back & relax but when it fails, you let the dogs out :D

Tonnes of nightmarish dealers out there. Trust me, I've been a victim of late & we're too comfortable to those "honest" ones.

One idiot took my car for a trade & didn't transfer it out then defaulted on the installments which became my problem! Officially, car still belongs to me so imagine if he crashes it or his company went bust? Then you have those that like to swap chassis, join them like lego or plunk in a different engine & fool inspection centres.

i'm reasonably certain that if that happened, the law would be on your side ...

negligence on his part cannot be hung around your neck ... not in any 1st world country ...

    Harold,
MR2s have a conversion kit to look like a mini F355 since they share similar looks somewhat with that flattish nose, side air scoops and flat rear engine deck..... Now you are giving me ideas for a spare car :))

    USD15K for Innotech?!!

K is about US$10K for V12 lambos. You can't get much discount for K as it's controlled by Japan factory & almost all are manufactured upon order only so unlikely to have ex-stocks to clear either.

    Yes Bro,
And even if it's cheaper, not sure LTA would approve it.

Thanks for sharing the prices of the k exhaust

You're welcome. As long as they have approval paper from eg. TuV & like, I think Lta will accept.

It is & EM is their agent. I would've ordered a Taiwanese Titanium exhaust if didn't sell off the CS but that's only US$2.5K & 20% lesser for group buy!
