    No such critter.

    IIRC, '80, '81 and '82 were the only 2V i cars.

    Wasn't '83 (production year) the first year of the 4V's?

    Looks like a 4V engine to me. That 308 definitely didn't come from the factory with it but it's a nice upgrade. Same for the wheels. Those are concave 328 wheels, if I'm not mistaken.

    yes, but 82 did see several pre-production 4V's and what I mean is a 4V motor in an otherwise 2Vi 308 by the factory

    This is true for US version 308 (which, at the time, and now, adheres to strict "model year" definition, not euro (standard) verison 308 (where, at the time, things were more "year of production" based) -- there are '82 euro 308QV, and they made carbed euro 308 into 1980.

    To me it would be the ultimate cool 308. I have seen a few pictures and Matthias's book has the VIN's.

    I have always wondered if any have survived.
