Hope he is ok, having said that .. Most of my friends just dislike the LTA and .. We don't wish for any harm to anyone .

Most of them Are just doing their job.

There is this particular one LTA 19, and he is a real pain.. Oh well

Enjoy and hope to see pics :) as many here are not FOCS members , and non exotic memebers are not welcome for drives.

Saw a red one gunning around . Some white or Indian dude driving it around the city but it sounded if it had aftermarket exhaust .

Well, you can always pick up a Porsche, Lotus & even entry Ferraris are affordable considering how expensive Jap cars are these days.

Btw, i'm not even an FOCS member ><" after a while all these clubs things are just like visiting Ktvs, you get jaded whether they're Jap, Korean or Italians :D

    Yes Bro,
.. Lol.. Cause I asked to join but my EVo was looked down upon.

I am considering a C4s , and there is a nice 993 for sale . Any idea what is a fair price to offer as I have to pay COE .

Not a fan of Lotus unfortunately even though they are very good cars .

Bro bro. I see that you have always had a problem with this issue & perhaps those closet browsers as well so please allow me to share my thoughts.

Well it's the pedigree you see.

In layman terms yes, looked down. This is a sensitive issue & fine line just like nude photography. If you understand how the world evolves you'll know. Having a fast car doesn't guarantee a ticket to exclusivity even if you're faster just like in the world of education, we have the different leagues.

When I was a pilot trainee, we have the superstar scholars. There were those who were awarded LKY or President's and depends if they went to Cambridge, Ivy leagues or Top Gun, perhaps both & someone came back with double Masters ;) Then you have the regular SAF scholars who went to some 2nd tier overseas colleges followed by local Uni & I'm the lowest, "farmer". In SAF, pilots are the elites. Only about 1% of our males get selected so being the lowest ranked of that is not that bad lah but of course I joined the ranks of the 90% of that 1% to get booted :D Those officers mix among their cohort & so does their promotions. Just run a check on our Transport minister & you'll see how he got his star.

Another Eg. when I attend big events in Europe, a Ferrari 430 or even 458 is a nobody when you're in the company of 250SWB, 275GT, Maserati 300S, AM DB3S even my beloved a Gullwing, the original 300SL is a dime in a dozen.

Long ago, I bought my first Ferrari. The 348, it was the love of my life, paid with my own pocket and very proud of it even though it is a dog. I would even use a toothbrush to clean the engine bay but when I joined the local scene they didn't bother with this old dog as the bellas & senoire were all glued to the latest model, the F360 with the see-me-here engine bay under a glass! This cycle repeats itself.

Now most of us here like Jap performance & have them. I still have an R34 and always have a soft spot for Evos.

At the end of the day it is your ride. As long as you're happy with it & shower with TLC why bother the rest? Just like there is the Ferrari and there are The Ferraris. It's a never-ending world so get over it or you'll never be happy.

Oh I think in summary of my rubbish.

You don't wear T-shirt & slippers to a Black Tie event do you? Well, you get the drift & it's my opinion only ok ;)

As for adding coe, be very careful here as our coe is @ all time high so those that are about to expire will probably be exported unless the parf & body value is low. As for 993s.... the owners are in a fix. Especially the normal 993s cos the body is not worth much now for export & too old for some countries plus the fact that they paid a premium so it's a do or die. Finally, they're nailed with little assistance in financing. It's very sad.

Thanks Jon and yes i understand where you are coming from , and well I am glad that people like you , Harold , MP and a few others are cool with speaking with a fellow enthusiast .

For the 993 , I would try and see what's a fair offer . I really like the. 993 C4S cabriolet and none for sale , and autobahn is out to bleed anyone that enquiries .

    NP.

Did they make C4S cab for 993? Think there's only C2 & C4 cabs not sure if wide bodies were offered.

You are probably right ! My friend used to own a silver one with Maroon top and it has been sold. It was involved in a few accidents . Nothing major. If the current owner sells, I am deff interested .

With COE at current prices, does not make sense to renew.
