    Here is a strange request.
I love'd Ida Red apples when I was a boy growing up in upstate New York. I've looked at a few places online but I refuse to pay $3 an apple. Would any of you be willing to go down to the local grocery store and grab me a bag of Ida Reds then throw them in a box and drop them at FedEx. I'll cover your costs, give you my FedEx account number, and send you a bottle of our yummy Texas made wine from my winery.
    Thanks in advance.

Just went apple picking last week with the kids, but did not see Ida Reds. If I see any in the supermarket here in NNJ I will pick them up and let you know. Good luck.

They were at Maskers when I went picking 3 weeks ago.
I don't know if they ship, but check on-line for Och's or Maskers & see if they will.
I wont be heading up that way again this year. Sorry.

Though come Spring, I'll be going up for fresh Maple Syrup :)

I will be passing by a grocery store tomorrow that will probably have them. If the store does have them how many apples do you want?

I haven't seen an Ida Red around here for at least 10 years. Everything is Macintosh and Galas and Macoons and Empires and Golden Delicious. Next time I hit the farm stand, I'm going to ask about Ida's. Interesting.

A local orchard told me that they have them, so I will pick some up this weekend. They are $2.29 per pound.

Boy I'd sure appreciate it. A lot of guys here have tried to help out but came up empty. (thanks) Grab a bag or 2 or if they sell them single if you could pick 20 or 30 I'd sure be grateful.
If you get them drop me a PM and I'll send you my FedEx account number and get your address so I can send you some cash.

One of my aunts lives on an apple orchard up near Syracuse...they used to make and sell apple cider. Next time I talk to her I'll see if she grows and Idareds (I'm not really familiar with apples) and I'll see what I can do!

Now all I have to do is be really nice to the Mrs and I'll get one of the greatest apple pies on the planet.
