There is an entire kit available for about 1900 USD. You will need to swap your motronics around to associate the new alarm with the vehicle engine controls
Do you know if it is the left or right ecu that has to be swapped? This is the one i bought Ferrari 360 Modena Anti Theft Ignition Immobiliser Control Units Transmitter | eBay
I believe the alarm is paired with the left ecu from the factory so you would have to swap the unpaired right motronic ecu to the left side and visa versa for the left. Then run through the pairing process.
Please see the link below. The need for the PIN is part of the remote paring process as discussed. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q/239326-help-360-alarm-pin-code-problem.html
If you buy the kit, it includes everything you need, plus three new matching fobs with a new PIN already programmed into the Alarm ECU. You just need to install it and swap Motronic ECUs. Makes no difference which one needs the signal from the alarm ECU allowing start if you swap them, but on the V12s it is the right/starboard one. Do not buy the pieces separately since it will cost more and you will then have to go through the procedure spelled out below to program the Alarm ECU to accept the new fobs and red/master fob PIN. The one I was buying is used not new, i posted the link above to the ebay posting, do you think im gonna have a problem installing that one?
Did you get the three fobs and alarm PIN with the set? If not, unsure what you will do with the set. I note it says transmitter, but the sets come with three transmitters and a PIN. Is this the set in the ads up above? If it does come with one remote and no PIN, you can at least clone the remote so you have a back-up, so all is not lost.
I believe it only comes with the one fob, the pin i am not 100% sure about i guess I will find out tuesday. Is this set useless without the pin?
No, should work fine, but your only choice on a back-up is to clone the one fob that I believe comes with the set. You will not be able to start the car with the PIN and key alone if the fob malfunctions. I would get a leather case for the one fob to protect it as much as possible in case you drop it. Why did you need a new alarm ECU and immolilizer? They are normally pretty reliable. Problems mostly come from missing fobs and no PIN.
Not that any of us have found so far. Even if we could, would be dumb as dirt to tell folks how to steal Ferraris.
One day I was driving the car and the hazard lights in front and back wouldnt shut off. Brought it to ferrari of long island they told me i need the european alarm kit and all said and done they said it was going to take about 6 weeks and between 5500-6k. After reading on here, i brought it to a small mechanic who works on ferraris and finally was able to find the us kit on ebay for $1500.00 So long story short, been unable to drive my car for 2 months now.
So I finally got the package came with one fob, no pin. Literally 5 mins later West Coast Ferraris calls me to tell me that my new european ferrari kit would be delivered to them early next week, so im thinking i should prob just return this used US one i got.
