Better late tan never, some say, as the Empire was quite late in the abolition of slavery. Actually, thanks to some bizarre technicalities, slavery was not totally abolished in UK till 2010. Yes, 2010!! And talking about the positives of colonialism is like talking about the positives of nazism (hey, not everything was bad, they built autobahns!!)

But you´re right, this is not the place.

Boy, this escalated quickly! Some people should learn not to confuse cars with politics. Just to end this, all powerful nations have taken advantage of the less powerful throughout history. From the ancient Egyptians, Persians and Greeks, to the Romans, to the British, to the Americans and the Russians. It's just the human nature.

This is exactly what I was talking about while everyone was talking about the 7:04 time. Mclaren is a top F1 team. Arguably tied with Ferrari. They are the kings of sandbagging to mask their true potential. I can't wait to see that P1 assault the hell out of that legendary green hell tarmac. I... Cant... Wait!!

Can you add any credibility to this statement? Would be good to know and great if they did so.

Very sorry to make the mistake of mixing racing and politics, very stupid from me. Ok, I understand you will never trust the Wokingnese team again and you are a ashamed Englishman. You now have a terrible skeleton in your closet you say?
But have some pity for me, I must live with this everyday: Ferrari and Alonso Look Like the Clowns of F1 with Result Fixing Scandal | Bleacher Report . Every time I drive my 430 Scuderia in the France or Switzerland, the little children and granparents throw eggs at me because of this. It's just the human nature.

I would really apologise to all of you, but I don't think I have said something wrong. :(

    OMG.
Totally out of topic. In the Fist two sequences there is a Berlusconi's double (Maurizio Antonini)

They certainly have not been sandbagging in this years F1 championship. Their laptimes and racecraft ARE that slow

what has a season 33 years ago has to do with anything? If you want to point out seasons in which Ferrari hasn't faired all that well in F1, why not 1962?

It took Ferrari nearly a whole season to get a grasp on the performance of their new car when they went to a pull rod front suspension. Maybe you have forgotten, but last year's F2012 was often referred to less than fondly by the name "Clifford", as in 'The Big Red Dog'.

McLaren are fighting through the same challenges and don't have the benefit of a certain team's borderline-illegal traction control either. They were highly competitive at the end of last season and probably should have left well enough alone, but anyway...

nothing wrong with my panties, thank you.

I just don't see what a F1 season of 33 years ago has got to do with anything. Perhaps you missed the point.

As it's pretty much off-topic I'll not dwell on his subject too much, but one thing I will say is that team orders are not always about letting your team-mate through, they're also about being instructed to stay behind your team-mate and not push or challenge them.

I suspect that this may well be what David Coulthard is actually referring to, and being the Gentleman that he is, I have no doubts that he would have adhered to the instructions to the letter.

If that is the case though, Ron Dennis and McLaren cannot say, hand on heart that they've never instigated team orders!

I would also say that history has shown that what McLaren say they do and what they actually do are not the always same thing! ;)

So someone who built the car and you conveniently can't name for no apparent reasons, told you that they had to remove the wiper and likely it's motor from the car on their latest Ring appearance to compensate for the weight of the measurement equipment, measure that they did not consider necessary before, and promptly felt the urge to let you know so that you could coincidentally be able to swiftly comment to my observation...

    Are you 12?
