Myself and others will be storing our Ferraris shortly for the winter. What is the best name brand you have used as a fuel stabilizer for a 360?

My preference is StarTron for long term storage. Had good results with StaBil Marine too.

I've used this for years with great results in my boats. You can get it any any boating supply store (west marine).

StaBil makes a marine and an automotive fuel stabilizer. I use the marine in my boat, the automotive product in my car. The auto version has the red label.

I've also used Ford Motorcraft fuel stabilizer and Lucas Oil fuel stabilizer. I generally stick to StaBil because it can be purchased in larger bottles. I get the Ford stuff at a nearby dealer as my second choice. The Lucas product is overpriced and I don't think I will use it again because of that.

StaBil marine in non ethanol gasoline for me.

Googled "non ethanol" gasoline and found several nearby sources; have been using it for almost a year.

You can acquire StaBil at Home Depot 32oz for $12. There are other alternatives and some use less to treat the gasoline so claim that more cost effective, but all will do same thing. If using Sta-Bil, you only need 12 oz to treat a full tank of gasoline in a 360. So will cost you less than $5

StarTron, I run it in all my watercraft (4) and have run it in 3 different Ferraris. I live in the Midwest US so everything gets stored in the winter. Never an issue. Available at AutoZone. Do a google search and read up on it...

What is a "fuel stabilizer"?? Never heard of this.
    Is that really needed?

It prevents gasoline from going bad. US gasoline has a surprisingly short shelf life (think gallon of milk), primarily due to the 10 to 15 percent ethanol blends that are mandated. If you leave the gas in your tank for six months, you are likely to find that it does not burn very well and your engine hates it. When I was a little kid forced to do chores, I learned this as my lawn mower ran horribly one season when I used a tank of gas saved from the previous summer. (My dad didn't believe gas could possibly go bad and blamed me for messing up the engine.)

Anywhoo, you do not want to keep the same gas in your car for more than a few weeks without stabilizer. Stabilizer will help prevent your fuel lines from going bad, keep gunk from forming, and fight moisture buildup that could cause internal rusting. (Fortunately, the 360 engine is mostly aluminum, but still.)

StarTron is the answer. Defeats ethanol problems in gas. I use it in small gas engines that sit eight to ten months between uses and don't have any issues. Also use it in Ferrari and other exotics to protect the fuel system. A local motorcycle dealer went from numerous fuel issues over the winter storage period to no issues after using StarTron.
