Thanks having fun with it now.. Just joined FOCS, hopefully can join for driving soon haha, not me.. I'm chinese. Will share once i get my new wheels
just a word of friendly advice ... these FOCS boys are a kiasu lot ... there have been events which maxed out in 12 minutes ... i.e. u gotta be quick to register or you may not get in ...
Just got my 599 GTB too. And also just sent in my FOCS membership application. That would be me. But HRE rims gone. Back to the original ones.
Ever owned or driven a Lotus before bro? A royal pain in the arse to get in and out. Its bare metal everywhere. No power steering, little 15inch rims for some, loud irritating exhaust if you get it right, zero insulation from sound and smell, air con does not work half the time, little bits fall off here and there all the time, new rattles start everyday..... but that's what makes it lovely....cause when you drive it....you have a legal go kart...all that does not matter!!!! And then, there is the Evora....... which is a whole different Lotus altogether. Actually has some creature comforts.... Since you are onto porsches, why not just get the GT3RS?or the newer 911s? Rather than renewing COE on the older fellas, you can get a newer one. But I would not know much. YOu got to ask the POrky experts in here.
Agreed. When I first met the guys here at a night coffee at a hotel in the east, I came with a dog of an Esprit. It was all over the place, not being a properly sorted car. But I loved it, and walked with pride to it. And did not give a damn although it looked like a grandfather next to the SL of MP and the 430 Spider of Derek. I did not have the latest, the fastest, the prettiest, but it was my first "exotic" but to me, it was a true EROTIC....as it always made me smile knowing I had it.
Thanks MP. 3604u, there is a very lovely black 993 C4S for sale. COE till 1/2016. Owner takes very good care of it. Check with Ben at Autoinc.
heads up ... DOTY coming up ... registration not yet open ... but will one of these days ... note to self - don't forget to carry notebook to loo ...
Just got back my car not long... Did some changes to the exhaust system and I love it ... I thinking to purchase the Capristo remote valve system to get more from the downshifts. Currently, I am on the larini remote valve system but it does'nt seem to be working as well as the capristo ones... Anyone knows if any workshop carries Capristo rather than waiting for overseas shipping... Cheers!
Hi guys anyone of you heard of the exhaust system power craft. It's japan built, I am considering capristo, IPE and this power craft.. Can anyone advice.. Thanks a million...
Check out youtubes but not the most accurate. Bear in mind that LTA inspectors are happily going around to stop exotics on the road to check if your exhaust is compliant which is a pain so make sure if possible that your exhaust gets a cert. The cheapest trick is to unhook the valves in the exhaust but cold start will freak your neighbours
Oh my god haha cold start with exhaust valves open is LOUD. My suggestion is get yourself a decat pipes and a remote control valve system... if still not loud enough get it de-resonate!
