A line must be drawn, though, on what's acceptable and if you couple all of these "tricks" with the fact that some of the cars would have to considerably slow down for a second consecutive lap, it all starts to look very silly.

It would be interesting to see a first lap time and second lap time from these hybrid hypercars.

I agree. This is a VERY pertinent question.

Best thing would be seeing them racing each other long distance, I'd pay the ticket

Best chance of that will be in a virtual racing simulation, though.

It's hard to say... There are so many cars with similar interiors these days ;)

Jim - when you have time, it would be great to hear a more comprehensive report of your impressions :)

Fantastic Bespoke level of attention to detail. Even with Turbo's engine sounded nice. Gearbox and controls very nice and usable. Dash display Fantastic. Comfortable and roomy.

HP and I will definitely do a one off one fine day.

Video on P 4/5 C FB site link in my sig. I tried to post it here but it's too big.

Frank S called Miller this morning before I arrived and said P1 is "King of The Ring" FWIMBW.

    Cheers!

I have always loved the Pagani. Amazing attention to detail. Which model is this?

I am a Ferrari tifoso. Alfa used to be the top dog some 60 years ago. Ferrari was her child. Now Ferrari is the top dog and Alfa is the old lady in the room. Simple as that.

Guess you're all missing the bigger picture.

As Jim said, the 7:04 was bad advertising for the car, but now it's all changed.

Google "McLaren P1 Nürburgring", the tides have flipped, the 7:04 has been almost erased.

Confirmation to trustable sources from McLaren insiders, "less than 6:40" some even said, but when directly asked McLaren respond "...no lap times of any circuits have been set". They got the advertising and the reputation change they needed.

They need more time to edit the video, pffff, just look at how they celebrated their MP4 Top Gear time, you think they wouldn't even do it bigger if this was true and announce it ASAP?

    Sounds like Frank. :)

I haven't bothered any of them on this topic myself. I figure when McLaren has something to say I'll find it in my inbox, twitter, facebook, blogs and every forum I have time to glance at. Some people just need to have a bit more patience. ;)

Great to hear! I would be shocked if the P1 doesn't set the record, or a blistering time.
They were there for 6 days last week alone....

It would and we challenged all of them to show up and do exactly that which none of them did.

We ran 6:51's lap after lap for 24 Hours and still hold the record for the fastest Hybrid to ever finish the 24 Hours of Nurburgring beating the Porsche Factory Hybrid of 2011 by a wide margin.

So, you put a digital camera in the car. You run your lap. And you post on YouTube. Not seein' it.
