Agreed! The Dino automobile was named after Enzo Ferrari's SON. I could never refer to a Dino as "she." Frd
Mine was black originally, hard to keep bright and shiny all the time. It is a color that shows every finger print! Will you use the original formulation or add clear coat etc.
Looks like I need another rotisserie. Mel's car is in process of the metal work finishing up and was suppose to be paint, interior, chrome and rubber. The project has expanded now to a full strip and complete rebuild of everything. I think it was a wise decision as it was another 80% taken apart Dino. It seems to me the value created by going the distance out weighs the costs.
Mel's car is back to be completely stripped, media blasted, all parts replated and rebuilt along with powder coating various parts. As you can see it would of been a crime to continue on the path this car was headed as some of the surfacing had already begun. Shiny paint can't hide whats underneath. I started today taking the rest of it apart and will have it on a rotisserie and headed for blasting by the first of next week. Off to the media blaster today, everything except the outer back where some surfacing work was already begun. The front right fender was massaged do to poor factory fit. This car now starts where it should of 6 months ago. All is well now and it can move forward! Mel's car is off to the paint shop. All the parts have been re-plated in cad yellow, cad clear and black oxide. The powdercoating is complete and now ready to work on all the sub assemblies. I love starting with a clean slate! This will be a stunner with black paint and red interior. Wow! Those shots of everything laid out are unbelieveable. I have a car mag that shows one of Schumachers F1 cars laid out in parts. Can't wait to see the finished product, good luck.
Now that Mel's car is at the paints shop I reassembled and rebuilt most of the parts to be ready when it comes back from paint.
