Can someone walk me through this? Pictures would be very helpful.

I want to pull the vacuum lines on my exhaust so its open all the time. I've already searched the forum and found some useful information, but no pictures and not a organized step by step walkthrough. Thanks

get the capristo unit, it lets you control the opening and closing of the valves

I am going to get Novitec Exhaust. I just want a cheap solution for now until the exhaust comes.

Easy, just take off the rear diffuser I think 6 or 8 easy to reach bolts underneath the back of the car (you don't have to put it on a lift or anything) and once that is removed everything is accessible. Just unplug the 2 vacuum lines and cap them off or put a screw in the lines lightly.

I just got the Capristo valve remote module in the mail. I am getting it installed tomorrow if the dealer can do it. I will give my thoughts when completed. I also considered a aftermarket exhaust but wanted to try this route first being that the stock system sounds amazing above 7k rpm with valves open. I just want that sound most of the time except creeping through my neighborhood early am and nights.

Anyone have any pictures of videos of this? Maybe even a diagram will be helpful. Thanks

I just dropped my 458 off now to get the Capristo remote installed. I asked if they had any directions and they said "no, we done many of these capristo kits and we know exactly how it works". This is Ferrari of Washington. I will let you guys know my thoughts when I pick the car up later on :)

I used these on my 599, they clamp the pipe above the exhaust, and no need to take anything off on a 599. It's well worth it, the noise at low speeds is so much better.

I just picked the car up from the dealer and had the capristo remote valve installed, now that I have the valve remote I feel it is a no brainer!

I spent most of the drive home in heavy traffic but I did have a few chances to open the car up. I really like the sound of the car with the valves open throughout the entire rpm range. Before the sound was on/off, on/off, I prefer the sound to be louder all the time.

Dealer charged 3 hours labor, and the kit was about $650.

I am happy with this upgrade.

I just got the Capistro exhaust remote and I love it. Controlling when you want the sound all the time is great. I did get instructions with my kit from Capistro in Florida and I gave them to the dealer just to make sure they did it correctly. Worth the money

I just picked up my car from the dealer with the Capristo remote installed. Honestly I'm not too impressed with the exhaust sound at 2K-3K RPM while uncorked, in traffic the drone wore me out. I'm glad that I can quiet it down with the push of the button. Maybe Sunday on the open road I'll like it better.

This is the best part of the remote, you have a "choice" of the way the car sounds...

Button "1" is great for a quiet tone in traffic, slow cruising, but when you want to ROMP on it, button "2" makes the car sound proper!
