That will kill you in a hurry. Better take it in and have it checked. Maybe on a flatbed.

Not to sound like an ass.. But is your floor mat interfering with the pedal?

i checked the mat right away. I shut off the car and tried it again and it was fine. Will have to get it checked. I am guessing none has encountered this issue then. I was wondering what it could be and what the costs maybe. Almost considering changing to lambo gallardo spyder. argh. I'm annoyed

    I had this issue
There is a electrical relay connected to the accelerator which needed to be replaced
Easy fix (no charge under warranty)
    Hope this helps!

TM- Could easily be the problem, but his Cali is likely out of warranty. Part cost, if that is the problem, is shown below for the entire unit (less than $500). Not sure if the potentiometer is available separately. Would check and make sure the connector is not loose or have your tech do it before replacing.

Lucky that mine was covered under warranty.
It was a little tricky for the service guys to find it. The problem was intermittent
I am close to the dealer so the next time it was acting up I drove it there.
A lot easier than trying to explain it with words and hand gestures!!
