I have a 01 360 with 360CS exhaust System. My right Cat might be bad, I'll find out today. Anyway I'm looking into going Test pipes route. I've read through many threads, but have not got an definite answer if CEL will be a problem. My tech is recommending Fabspeed test pipes and extended O2 sensors.

    What do you guys think?

Expect a 20-30% increase in sound. I am yet to solve the CEL issue, but I will. Extenders work for some but not others.

What car do you have? PM me and I will be happy to try and help you out. Otherwise the extenders will work for about 80% of the cars out there, some just seem to be more touchy than others. I am working on getting o2 sensor emulators/resistors to take the place of the o2 sensor when working catbypass pipes but I am not there just yet!

The test pipes will increase the pitch of your car and really give it a formula one type scream in the higher RPMs, definitely a recommended upgrade for both power and sound!

    Hi Toolie,
Exotic Car Gear can reprogram your ECU to give the sensor a Higher level so no Cat Light will come on you will also gain about 15-20 HP with the ECU retuning. We will guarantee you will pass emissions in all 50 states. Give us a call if interested. I will be posting a special on this for the 360 and 430 later this week. www.ExoticCarGear.com
Also Nouvalari-USA can make the Test Pipes as well, in T304 Stainless and hand made in England.
    Good Luck

With test pipes you will get a lot more popping sounds from the exhaust.

Yeah, replacement high flow cats seems like a better way to go if you had a cat failure. Keeps it emissions legal and more likely to function OK without any errors.

Running test pipes alone you will receive a CEL. The extenders are hit and miss and generally don't work in conjunction with test pipes, it may prolong the CEL but isn't a guaranteed fix. The 100% sure way to eliminate the CEL is to do an Ecu Tune/Upgrade as mentioned above.

My opinion I'd suggest doing it the correct and sure way the first time around with an ecu upgrade, you will see more power and eliminate any issues with the CEL related to the exhaust. If you spend the money on the extenders and they don't work for you it's money wasted along with any associated labor fees to have them installed if you don't do the work yourself. Give Glen a call he will point you in the right direction.

    Evan,
I've decided to get the test pipes, but I don't want to deal with CEL issue. What can you do for me? I don't want to modify my ECUs either. Will the o2 extenders you sell work?

    Thanks
